The Democrat Party tried its hardest to make this recent election about pitting men against women.

In their failed attempt, they wanted to make abortion the most important issue – something most Americans recognize has been sent back to the states for their state governments to decide.

But the Left’s desire for a death match between men and women comes down to more than just policy – they want it in competition too and they can hardly contain their glee.

MSNBC host Jen Psaki stirred controversy on Sunday by downplaying concerns about biological males competing in girls’ sports, claiming it was not an “issue” while simultaneously acknowledging that it does occur. Psaki further insisted that such instances pose no “threat to safety or fairness.”

Psaki’s comments came during the final segment of her show, Inside with Jen Psaki, as she discussed post-election “soul searching” among Democrats.

“What I worry about is that in the course of all that soul searching, some Democrats might reach the wrong sweeping conclusions,” she began. “And there are a lot of issues that fall into that bucket, but one in particular that stuck out to me is transgender rights.”

She criticized Republicans for highlighting transgender issues during the election, saying they spent “hundreds of millions of dollars on anti-trans ads,” including one featuring Vice President Kamala Harris discussing government funding for “gender reaffirming care for prisoners and detainees.” Psaki dismissed the issue as “particularly obscure” and applicable to “a tiny group of people.”

Turning to sports, Psaki accused conservatives of fabricating a “crisis” over the participation of biological males in girls’ competitions.

“Now these ads created this perception that the issues of trans kids playing sports was dominating schools across the country, which is completely false,” she claimed.

However, Psaki admitted such cases do occur, though she downplayed their significance, arguing, “Look, reflection is good, but if that were actually an issue at thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate. But there are just incredibly few examples of transgender girls playing in youth sports. And when we see those examples, there isn’t evidence that these kids are a threat to safety or fairness.”

Her remarks, which attempt to trivialize a growing national debate, are sure to draw sharp criticism from those who argue that allowing biological males in girls’ sports inherently compromises fairness and safety. Psaki’s suggestion that such concerns are overblown seems out of step with the experiences of many parents, athletes, and advocates across the country who see this as a serious issue.

And it’s completely out of step with where Americans land on this issue.

A Rasmussen poll back in August of this year found that nearly three-quarters (72%) of registered voters oppose allowing biological males to participate in women’s and girls’ sports, signaling overwhelming public disapproval.

“For example, only 14% of voters believe biological males should be allowed to compete in women’s sports,” Rasmussen said. “Even among voters who support Harris, just 21% hold this view.”

Maybe it’s the Democrat Party who is out of touch.
