The attempt on Donald Trump’s life was not the end of that sort of violence. If anything, it was just the beginning of those horrors. That took place when Donald Trump was simply on the campaign trail and it wasn’t exactly super clear that he was going to be the President of the United States again.

Now that he’s set to be inaugurated in January, the threats against him and his allies are only going to get worse. They will also become more frequent than ever before. The security for Donald Trump and his administration officials are going to have to keep their heads on a swivel and be at the top of their game, unlike when Donald Trump was almost shot and k*lled in July.

Already we’re seeing some disturbing reports of credible threats rolling in. The Trump transition team has said that they are working with law enforcement to improve the safety of several incoming Trump administration officials who have been targeted with bomb threats and various other threats of violence.

“Law enforcement and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted,” the Trump transition team official Karoline Leavitt had to share with reports. “President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action.”

The FBI also added that they could confirm that “numerous” threats against incoming nominees for Trump’s cabinet and his appointees were of concern for law enforcement officials. The wording certainly sounds like the FBI is aware of several different ongoing threats that are not stamped out just yet, which has to be nerve-racking for Donald Trump’s allies.

The FBI said they are “is aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees,” adding that they were working “with our law enforcement partners. We take all potential threats seriously, and as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement.”

It is not known who all of the individuals facing credible threats of violence are, but the incoming nominee for Donald Trump to be the ambassador to the United Nations, Elise Stefanik, did confirm that she was one of the individuals who faced bomb threats when traveling for Thanksgiving.

The statement from her office reads: “This morning, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, her husband, and their three year old son were driving home to Saratoga County from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence. New York State, County law enforcement, and U.S. Capitol Police responded immediately with the highest levels of professionalism. We are incredibly appreciative of the extraordinary dedication of law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe 24/7. We want to share our best wishes to the Upstate NY community for a happy and safe Thanksgiving. We are especially grateful to our law enforcement officers and military families who are on duty over the holiday season.”

Donald Trump’s pick to head up the Environmental Protection Agency, a Republican from New York Lee Zeldin, shared with reporters that he was a target in these ongoing threats against the Trump team as well. The nature of the threats against him seemed to be anti-semitic in nature.

“A pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family at our home today was sent in with a pro-Palestinian themed message,” Lee Zeldin shared online after the scary events. “My family and I were not home at the time and are safe. We are working with law enforcement to learn more as this situation develops,” he added.

One of the most high profile individuals for Donald Trump’s incoming administration, the Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth, also confirmed that he and his family were victims of a “credible” bomb threat while they are simply living in peace in his own home.

Hegseth shared on X (also known as Twitter) saying, “This morning, a police officer arrived at our home—where our seven children were still sleeping. The officer notified my wife and I that they had received a credible pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family. We are all safe and the threat has been cleared. We want to thank law enforcement for their professionalism and bravery.”
