Trump’s Midnight Strike Against Biden’s Pardons

In a predawn bombshell, President Donald Trump took to social media Monday to torch pardons issued by President Joe Biden in his final days, declaring them null and void. The move came just hours into the new week, with Trump wasting no time flexing his authority as he settles back into the White House.

“The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen,” Trump blasted shortly after midnight. “In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them!” He didn’t hold back, accusing Biden of being clueless about the documents bearing his name.

“The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime,” Trump charged, hinting at potential legal fallout.

He wrapped up with a warning: “Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level. The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!” It’s a fiery opener to his second term.

Autopen Scandal Fuels Distrust

Trump’s salvo follows a damning report from the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, which exposed Biden’s reliance on an autopen for multiple pardons—each stamped with the “exact same autopen signature.” While some big-ticket items like Hunter Biden’s pardon and Biden’s dropout announcement appear hand-signed, the watchdog flagged a slew of others as mechanical duplicates, raising eyebrows across the board.

Among the autopen-signed batch? Pardons for Dr. Anthony Fauci, General Mark Milley, the January 6 Committee, and other Biden kin, according to Kyle Brosnan, chief counsel for the Oversight Project, in an interview with The Daily Wire.

Brosnan called it “troubling,” arguing that the president’s sole constitutional power to grant pardons demands personal involvement—not a robo-signature. This autopilot approach is a big reason Americans don’t trust their government anymore: if the president isn’t even signing his own decisions, who’s really calling the shots? Brosnan tied it to Biden’s well-documented decline, pointing to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report labeling him an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

“I think we all saw with our own eyes his mental and physical deterioration over the course of his presidency,” he said. Brosnan didn’t stop at the autopen itself—he painted an overall picture of a White House on autopilot.

“There’s article after article that comes out showing how the Biden administration and his staff shielded him from public view, retinkered his schedule throughout the presidency, tried to script even what reporters he was calling on at press conferences, and that volume of evidence shows that President Biden wasn’t really running the White House. It was the staff,” he said. This is the kicker for public trust: if Biden wasn’t in charge, and his signature was just a rubber stamp, Americans feel duped—like their government’s a facade run by unelected aides.

“So if he’s not hand-signing these legally operative documents like pardons or even bills into law, that raises another question,” Brosnan added.
