Trump Team Cracks Down Hard in Minnesota: Over 10,000 Illegal Immigrants Nabbed

The second Trump administration is wasting no time in restoring law and order to America’s cities, like Minneapolis. The Department of Homeland Security dropped a bombshell announcement on Monday, revealing that more than 10,000 illegal immigrants have been rounded up in the city since the president took office.

In just the last six weeks, DHS agents have cuffed 3,000 of these individuals. It’s a clear message that the days of sanctuary city nonsense are over. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t hold back in her triumphant post on X, declaring, “PEACE AND PUBLIC SAFETY IN MINNEAPOLIS!”

Noem laid it out plain and simple: the people arrested “were k*lling Americans, hurting children and reigning terror in Minneapolis because Tim Walz and Jacob Frey refuse to protect their own people and instead protect criminals.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey stirred up controversy on Sunday during an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union. He bizarrely likened ICE operations in Minneapolis to an “invasion” by the federal government. It’s the kind of rhetoric that shows just how out of touch these politicians are with everyday Americans who want safe streets.

The operation kicked off right after Thanksgiving, and DHS isn’t mincing words—it’s the biggest immigration enforcement push in Minneapolis history. They’ve mobilized around 3,000 agents from ICE, Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and other key units to get the job done.

Noem praised the effort in her statement: “In the last 6 weeks, our brave DHS law enforcement have arrested 3,000 criminal illegal aliens including vicious m*rders, r*pists, child p*dophiles and incredibly dangerous individuals. A HUGE victory for public safety.” This isn’t just talk; it’s action that’s making communities safer overnight.

But the crackdown doesn’t stop at arrests. Noem quickly turned the spotlight on a staggering fraud scandal ripping through Minnesota. “There is MASSIVE Fraud in Minneapolis, at least $19 billion and that’s just the tip of iceberg,” she stated.

She added that “Our Homeland Security Investigators are on the ground in Minneapolis conducting wide scale investigations to get justice for the American people who have been robbed blind.” I

That $19 billion number towers over the $9 billion estimate from U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson. The funds were siphoned from the state’s human services programs, with a lot of it tied to fraudsters in the Somali community. This isn’t pocket change—it’s a betrayal of American generosity.

President Trump himself jumped in on Truth Social late Sunday, amplifying the outrage. He zeroed in on the so-called “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), who represents parts of Minneapolis. Trump didn’t pull punches in his post.

“There is 19 Billion Dollars in Somalia Fraud. Fake ‘Congresswoman’ Ilhan Omar, a constant complainer who hates the USA, knows everything there is to know,” Trump blasted. His words cut through the noise, calling out what many see as corruption at the highest levels.

He went further: “She should be in jail, or even a worse punishment, sent back to Somalis, considered one of the absolutely worst countries in the World. She could help to MAKE SOMALIA GREAT AGAIN!”

Supporters are cheering these moves as a return to sanity. No more coddling criminals or turning a blind eye to massive theft. DHS’s aggressive stance is exactly what many Americans are demanding.

As investigations deepen, expect more revelations about the fraud networks. Minneapolis is ground zero, but this could spark similar operations nationwide.
