Bernie Sanders Peddles Socialist Fantasy on Fading Colbert Show – Exposing the Left’s Elite Hypocrisy

Late-night TV is circling the drain, and Stephen Colbert’s sinking ship just hosted socialist Senator Bernie Sanders for the 19th time. With his show set to vanish in May, Colbert couldn’t resist fawning over the aging leftist by asking why socialism suddenly seems trendy among the youth.

“Why is socialism cool again, Bernie?” Colbert gushed, setting the stage for Sanders to unleash his usual rant about how awful America supposedly is. The Vermont senator didn’t hold back, painting a picture of a nation drowning in greed while ignoring his own fat bank account.

“I think people are looking at this country today and they’re seeing incredible greed. And they’re seeing that in the richest country in the history of the world, so few have so much, and so many have so little,” Sanders declared, as if he’s not sitting on millions himself.

He kept going, bragging about his travels and virtual chats with overworked folks.

“There is, you know, Steve, I get around the country,” Sanders said. “I just did a virtual program at Zoom with some workers in nursing homes. They’re working 80 hours a week taking care of their patients. You have people working crazy hours for horribly low wages, people can’t afford housing.”

Sanders waxed nostalgic about the old days, claiming the American Dream is dead. “When I was a kid, the American dream was you are, at some point, going to be able to own your own house,” he lamented – this from a guy who owns three luxurious homes worth millions.

He hammered home the point about today’s youth facing tough times. “Young people today no longer believe that is possible. In fact, many of the young have a lower standard of living than their parents,” Sanders insisted, overlooking how his socialist policies have bloated government and stifled opportunity.

Wrapping up his spiel, Sanders blamed it all on tech and wealth not trickling down. “So, I think the young people are looking out there and they’re saying ‘Why?’ With all this technology, with all of this wealth, why are we not doing better for ordinary Americans than we are?” he asked rhetorically.

Then he took a swipe at Democrats for lacking guts. “And what the Democrats are lacking now is a vision for the future and that gets back to a corrupt campaign finance system, the unwillingness to take on the greed of big money interests. And that is, I think, what young people perceive,” said the 84-year-old career politician who’s never punched a clock in the private sector.

It’s classic Bernie: railing against the system while cashing in on it. This multi-millionaire socialist loves preaching equality from his ivory tower, but his three mansions tell the real story. No wonder hardworking Americans roll their eyes at his endless gripes.

The interview didn’t stop at Bernie’s bellyaching. He shifted gears to heap praise on New York’s freshly sworn-in mayor, Zohran Mamdani, calling him a bold fighter against the powers that be. Sanders cheered how this self-avowed communist bucked the establishment and still clinched his win.

But let’s peel back the curtain on Mamdani. Barely weeks into the job, and he’s already stirring up a storm of bad calls and wild statements. This guy’s no friend to law and order or American security.

Adding fuel to the fire, Mamdani opposed nabbing Venezuelan tyrant Nicolas Maduro, that m*rderous socialist thug. Why defend a dictator who’s wrecked his own country unless you’re cut from the same radical cloth?

And his hires? Pure disaster. He picked a housing chief who fantasizes about seizing property from white people – talk about reverse racism straight out of the leftist playbook.

This is the “vision” Sanders applauds? It’s a nightmare for real Americans who want safe streets and fair play.
