Leftist celebrity completely melts down over this election outlook for the Democrat Party

California’s Democrat machine is devouring itself in spectacular fashion, and even left-wing comedian Jon Stewart cannot hide his panic. The longtime host of The Daily Show sat down with San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, one of the many hopefuls chasing the governor’s mansion.

According to Fox News, Stewart pressed Mahan on his reasons for jumping into the crowded contest to replace Gavin Newsom. The mayor did not miss a beat. “Well, Jon, I just didn’t think enough people were running for governor,” Mahan jokingly said.

That punch line carries extra sting because eight Democrats are now battling it out on the November ballot. Across the aisle, only two Republicans are in the fight. California’s quirky open system lets multiple candidates from the same party survive all the way to Election Day, turning the race into a circular firing squad for the left.

Stewart’s face said it all as he processed the numbers. The comedian who normally mocks conservatives suddenly looked like a man watching his own team fumble the ball on purpose.

“So there are like, two or three Republicans running and like, eight or nine or 10 or 11, or 20 Democrats?” Stewart stated.

“It’s a great plan, and it so smacks of the Democratic Party to split the vote into such fractious fiefdoms that the only two people standing are the two Republicans.”

“So smart, so typical!”

The mayor still insists he brings real solutions from his time in San Jose. He touts tough reforms on homelessness and positions himself as the practical voice in a field of dreamers. Yet even he sits near the back of the pack.

Stewart’s dread is not misplaced. Fresh polling from Politico paints a nightmare scenario for the left. Republican Steve Hilton sits alone at the top with 19 percent support.

Democrat Tom Steyer trails in second at 13 percent. Eric Swalwell clocks in at 11 percent, while the second Republican, Chad Bianco, matches that number.

Katie Porter also sits at 11 percent, proving the so-called progressive stars are barely treading water.

Six additional Democrats scrape together less than 6 percent each. Mahan himself registers a meager 3 percent.

The real winner right now? The 17 percent of voters who remain undecided and clearly unimpressed by the entire circus.

Working families in California have watched their state crumble under endless Democrat dominance.

Skyrocketing housing costs, streets overrun by tents, and policies that protect criminals over citizens have left millions desperate for change.
