Over the past several years, independent media sources that are in no way connected to the Big Media Legacy outlets and giant corporations have been taking off in success. Millions of Americans are seeking out their news from these independent outlets as opposed to the likes of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, the Washington Post, etc. Why is that? The answer is quite clear.

Americans are increasingly not trusting what these legacy media outlets have to say anymore. Their “journalists” and “reporters” have little credibility left, and the only reason they are relevant right now is due to their grip on the cable TV airwaves and their dominance in the Google search engine. If independent media outlets were given just a fraction of the visibility that an outlet like CNN is given in the Google search engine results, it would be a crisis for CNN and the rest of the lot.

Here’s a prime example of why no one is trusting the media anymore. Recently, MSNBC’s “Republican” host Joe Scarborough said on his show, Morning Joe, that anyone who believes in free markets and capitalism should be “worried” about a Donald Trump presidency. His reasoning? He implies Donald Trump wants to install himself as an autocrat and literally rid the nation of free markets and capitalism.

“If you believe in American capitalism, you should be worried about Donald Trump being elected,” Mr. Scarborough said on his MSNBC-aired show. He went on to say Donald Trump is a threat to smaller government and efforts to take power away from Washington, D.C.

“We always talk about democracy, we always talk about democracy, about Madisonian democracy, because Madisonian democracy is under threat. But American capitalism, also under threat. Because, I will tell you, I grew up a conservative, I know you didn’t, but what we conservatives believe is in less government, less power concentrated, the imperial presidency, less power concentrated in Washington, D.C,” he added.

This is a really strange claim to make considering Donald Trump was already President for four years and didn’t install himself as some sort of dictator who was never going to let go of power. In fact, during his four years, millions upon millions of Americans were better off financially than they are now. That’s just a fact based on the surveys.

“Here you have Donald Trump saying, ‘I’m going to take all of the power into my office, I’m going to control the Fed, I’m going to control the FCC, I’m going to control the Justice Department, I’m going to control everything that I can control within the Oval Office,’ that is the antithesis of Madisonian democracy,” Scarborough would go on to say to criticize Donald Trump.

Further, he claimed Donald Trump is a threat to the U.S. constitution, saying, “It is the antithesis of checks and balances as laid out in the United States constitution and what that should do is worry CEOs. That should worry entrepreneurs. That should worry capitalists. That’s what you get in corrupt nations where you have a strong man who picks winners and losers. That’s when competition, that’s when the free market, that’s when the invisible hand is slapped by the autocrat running the state.”

Does Joe Scarborough even live on planet Earth? In what world is Donald Trump trying to rip up the U.S. Constitution and take over literally every single federal agency? This is intense levels of derangement on display from Joe Scarborough. Again, he was already President for four years. We already heard all this in 2016 when the Hillary Clinton pearl-clutchers were claiming there would be no America after one Trump term.

Kamala Harris The Real Power-Hungry Politician

Joe Scarborough just might want to look into the few statements Kamala Harris has made about her 2024 campaign policies. Anyone who does will find that she’s the one proposing new government controls that are unlike anything we’ve ever seen in all of American history.

Kamala Harris has proposed price controls on common goods, something that is so beyond the remotest fringe ideas of the Founding Fathers that it would likely make them sick to hear her speak about these price controls. The Harris campaign will say they aren’t “price controls” but rather “price gouging protections”, but that’s just a euphemism.

Supporting any effort from the federal government to impose brand new controls over the market is a real and tangible threat to the free market system in America, but of course Joe Scarborough won’t mention that on his show. It’s not convenient for his narrative and propaganda.

She’s also proposed passing a law to federalize the abortion issue in America, again, another attack on small government. A principled small government, states’ rights defender wouldn’t be interested in literally federalizing every single issue in the world. Donald Trump, on the other hand, wants states to handle that issue on their own.

What kind of dictator or autocrat wants to give states the power to decide issues independently of the centralized government? Again, this is why the likes of MSNBC are in serious trouble. They are losing credibility and the younger generations will simply not be interested in their corporate media games as they become adults.
