CNN’s Jake Tapper Fact Checks Kamala Harris For Misquoting Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign are working hard to make this election about abortion. They believe they have the upper-hand on this issue and they want voters to understand that. Fortunately for them, the Harris campaign has been able to get away with misinformation on the abortion issue thanks to the mainstream media covering for them.

But in a stunning turn of events, CNN – notorious for it’s Leftist bias – decided not to cover for Kamala Harris after she misquoted one of Trump’s latest statements about protecting women.

CNN Host Puts Harris On Blast For Misinformation

While speaking at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, Kamala Harris falsely claimed that Donald Trump will “do what he wants” if “the women like it or not” regarding their ability to get an abortion.

“Now in America, one in three women lives in a state with a Trump abortion ban, many with no exceptions, even for r*pe and inc*st, which is immoral. And Donald Trump’s not done. Did everyone hear what he just said yesterday? That he will do what he wants, quote, and here’s where I’m going to quote ‘whether the women like it or not,'” Harris stated.

“We must vote because this is the thing. You know, there’s a saying that you got to listen to people when they tell you who you are, and this is not the first time he has told us who he is. He does not believe women should have the agency and authority to make decisions about their own bodies.”

Donald Trump’s comments were widely taken out of context by Harris. He was actually referring to how he would “protect women” from illegal aliens. Which tons of Americans agree is important for safety in America’s cities.

“Kamala has imported criminal migrants from prisons and jails, from insane asylums and mental institutions all over the world from Venezuela to the Congo, including savage criminals who assault, r*pe, and m*rder our women and girls. Anyone who would let monsters kidnap and k*ll our children does not belong anywhere near the Oval Office,” Trump said during a rally.

“I’m gonna do it whether the women like it or not. I’m gonna protect them.” This quote obviously has nothing to do with abortion, yet Harris decided to link it to that topic anyway in an act of dishonesty.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was not going to let her off the hook this time however, saying, “When Trump said he was going to do something for women, whether they like it or not, whether the women like it or not, he was talking about protecting women, protecting women whether they like it or not. Certainly, you can take issue with the language, but he wasn’t saying he was just going to do whatever he wanted, regardless.”

Of course, not everyone who was joining Tapper’s panel on the CNN program The Lead agreed with his sentiment. “Some would say that’s misogynistic–” Karen Finney, a Democratic strategist said. Tapper interjected saying, “It’s not as she presented it.”

“Look, ultimately, I think we have to be careful in these last days. We did this in 2016. He’s going to say something horrible, ridiculous,” Finney pushed back. “So just quote it accurately,” Tapper again responded. Finney continued on in a bit of a rambling rant where she claimed that we know who Trump is and that he’s someone who doesn’t respect women.

But Tapper’s point remains the same. If Donald Trump’s rhetoric is really that bad, then there’s no need to misquote it or take what he says out of context. Yet that’s exactly what the Democrats have been doing for almost ten years now ever since Trump decided to enter the world of politics.

To make matters worse, the dishonest mainstream media has also assisted the Left with their lies about what Trump actually says. It’s one of the many reasons the American public does not trust the mainstream media at all. And sure, Jake Tapper has been no saint when it comes to honest coverage of Donald Trump, but it was at least refreshing to see him call out Kamala Harris for misquoting the former president.

Do you trust the mainstream media? And why do you think the media’s trust among the public is at an all time low? As always, let us know in the comments below!

KILLING your baby is NEVER a solution- if you don’t want children – 1. don’t have sex 2. get tubes tied closed 3. NEVER kill someone else for YOUR “convenience”!!!

I’m glad to see Jake Tapper has some integrity; most media does not. Do not trust what you hear on any media programs.

I grew up in the DC area being VERY observant of what ACTUALLY went on and what was ACTUALLY said. From a VERY young age I found out that the DC media and general media does NOT present issues honestly nor accurately!!! A lesson I learned VERY young – in “middle school” I believe! NOW almost 80 yo, I KNOW the media hasn’t ANY better. As a matter of FACT, I left a prominent DC University’s journalism major when I was being taught HOW to write a liberal OPINION as actual FACT!!! That is the lesson STILL being taught – since the 1960s and probably BEFORE!!! Learn for yourself, independently, the REAL facts involved in a “story” presented as “fact”.

You have heard of a condom the day before pill the day after pill. Contraceptives. The old tried and true rhythm method. Use a dildo or your finger. Clinton says the reason for the illegals is our women arent producing enough children. The fact is young couples cant afford children. Next is the illegal women crossing the borders. Their religion is against abortions. 1+1=3 They want to eliminate the caucasian race
