There’s very few people in the United States who think the Department of Justice (DOJ) operates in a fair manner where justice is actually served. Just look at how President Donald Trump was treated the last few years when he was targeted by then-President Joe Biden’s DOJ. Trump was hit with political law-fare by those who wanted to destroy any chances of him getting reelected for a second term in the White House.
Of course, many Republicans hopped on Trump’s side and called out the weaponization of the DOJ against him. But there were also a lot of Democrats who noted how Trump was being treated unfairly. That’s how you know there’s definite corruption in a government institution. But the corruption of the DOJ wasn’t just limited to Donald Trump. Everyday American citizens were also targeted.
For example, there were many pro-life protestors who were given harsh prison sentences for praying or protesting in front of abortion clinics. They were targeted by Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland. Some of these individuals were elderly and posed no risk to the general public, yet they were treated harsher than violent criminals who received more leniency.
But now that Trump is back in office, he’s appointed Pam Bondi as the Attorney General and she’s set on getting the DOJ back on track to end it’s weaponization. People will be treated fairly regardless of their political affiliation. This is the way the department should always be run and Bondi is wanting to make that a reality. She also wants to spend more time cracking down on violent crime in order to make Americans safer.
Pam Bondi’s Plan To Restore The DOJ
Newly sworn-in Attorney General Pam Bondi has made it clear that the Department of Justice under President Trump will prioritize prosecuting violent criminals rather than political investigations. In a declaration on Fox News, Bondi stated that the DOJ will return to its “core function” and put an end to what she described as the previous administration’s misuse of government power. “It’s the end of the weaponization of government and getting back to prosecuting violent crime and giving our great men and women the tools that they need in law enforcement,” Bondi said to Fox News host Sean Hannity.
She emphasized the administration’s commitment to cracking down on violent gangs, drug traffickers, and cartels, vowing, “We will do everything in our power to find them and eradicate them in our country.” It’s safe to say that the Trump administration isn’t playing around when it comes to stopping violent criminals who are running rampant on American streets.
Bondi also accused the Biden administration’s Justice Department of spending too much time and effort targeting Trump rather than addressing crime. “They have targeted Donald Trump from day one. We’ve known this. We’ve always known this. And that is going to stop,” she asserted.
With the new administration’s focus, Bondi said the DOJ will be refocused on law enforcement’s intended role — prosecuting violent criminals. “We’re going to get back to the core function of what our government, our law enforcement, was intended to do – prosecute violent criminals and get them off our streets,” she said. “Weaponization ends.”
As part of this shift, Bondi signaled that the DOJ would significantly reduce its reliance on special counsels, an approach that had been a hallmark of the previous administration. “The special counsels from here on out in our country will be legally appointed and they won’t be done constantly like they’ve been done in the past,” she stated. “And the weaponization of government will end. No more special counsels out there targeting anyone.”
Rolling Back Biden-Era Policies
The previous administration saw multiple special counsels appointed, including one investigating Trump’s handling of classified documents. That case was ultimately dismissed after a federal judge ruled the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith was unconstitutional. Bondi also wasted no time making changes on her first day in office. Just hours after her swearing-in, she ordered an end to funding for “sanctuary jurisdictions” that refuse to cooperate with immigration authorities.
She also directed the DOJ to take legal action against Illinois, Cook County, and the city of Chicago, arguing that their state and local laws obstruct the enforcement of federal immigration policies. In another significant move, Bondi was tasked by President Trump with creating a DOJ task force to investigate what he has described as “anti-Christian bias” within the federal government. The president has maintained that agencies such as the DOJ, FBI, and IRS engaged in discrimination against Christians during the Biden years.
Bondi was confirmed as attorney general by the Senate on Tuesday, with all but one Democrat — Pennsylvania’s John Fetterman — voting against her appointment. And with a packed agenda already underway, Bondi’s tenure at the DOJ is shaping up to be a sharp departure from that of her predecessor, former Attorney General Merrick Garland. Her actions indicate a Justice Department that will focus aggressively on crime, immigration enforcement, and policies reflecting the administration’s vision for fairness in law and order.
Do you think Pam Bondi will succeed in returning the DOJ back to it’s intended goal? As always, drop a comment below and let us know what you think!
I would like to see biden and his whole”gang” investigated
She can and will. She is the most competent person to get this all back in order. She will play no games and you can and must take her at her word.
Yes I do.
Go Bondi GO!
I would like to see appropriate prosecution for illegal aliens who commit murder on our citizens, they need the death penalty, no appeals allowed. The illegal who killed Lakin Riley is getting a “fair” trial, what fair, did the victim get? I wish congress would make some laws with teeth, just a thought, to stop the violence!
Why are these videos so outdated?
