CCP-Linked Cash Flooding Democrat Gubernatorial Campaigns

In the cutthroat world of American politics, nothing screams betrayal like cozying up to foreign adversaries for campaign cash. New Jersey’s Democratic hopeful for governor, Mikie Sherrill, is now under fire after scooping up tens of thousands from a businessman with ties to the Chinese Communist Party. This isn’t just pocket change—it’s a glaring red flag waving in the face of hardworking Americans who demand loyalty to the Stars and Stripes, not Beijing.

The donor in question, Pin Ni, runs Wanxiang America Corporation and funneled a whopping $60,000 to the One Giant Leap super PAC propping up Sherrill’s bid. That came in two hefty checks, on top of the maximum $5,800 he handed directly to her campaign this summer. Fox News Digital dug into the records, and the New York Post broke the story first, exposing what looks like a blatant disregard for where the money’s coming from.

U.S. campaigns have strict rules: only American citizens or green card holders can donate. But Pin Ni’s status is murky at best, and that’s not even touching the bigger issue—why accept funds from someone entangled with the CCP? It’s the kind of move that makes you wonder if these politicians are putting America first or just chasing the almighty dollar.

“The donor, Pin Ni, has an extensive history of assisting the CCP’s political warfare and influence operations upon the U.S., and of generally aligning with and carrying out party commands,” Michael Lucci, Founder and CEO of State Armor, said when speaking to the New York Post. He also stated that it’s “disqualifying” to take money from Ni.

Dig a little deeper into Wanxiang Group, the parent company, and the CCP connections pile up. Back in 2021, they posthumously honored their founder, Lu Guanqiu—Pin Ni’s late father-in-law—with the title of “National Outstanding Communist Party Member.” The press release gushed about his “pursuit of communism as a lifelong ideal and practice.”

It didn’t stop there. The same release boasted that Guanqiu “has always listened to the [Chinese Communist] Party and followed the Party,” according to a Fox News Digital review from earlier this year. That’s not the language of a free-market entrepreneur; that’s straight from the playbook of a regime that crushes dissent and spies on its people.

The press release even quoted Chinese President Xi Jinping praising Guanqiu: “in line with the Party Central Committee. He always actively does what our Party committees and governments at all levels advocate.” If that’s not a badge of honor from the world’s biggest authoritarian machine, what is?

Check out Guanqiu’s bio on the Wanxiang website, and it’s clear he wasn’t just a businessman—he was embedded in the CCP’s power structure.

Sherrill might think she’s flying under the radar in New Jersey, but she’s not alone in this mess. Over in Virginia, another Democrat gunning for governor, Abigail Spanberger, grabbed $50,000 from the same CCP-tied Pin Ni. That cash rolled in as two $25,000 chunks back in April and May, as Fox News Digital reported earlier.

Naturally, this didn’t sit well with Spanberger’s Republican challenger, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. Her team didn’t mince words, blasting the donations as a sellout to foreign interests that undermine American security.

“Taking $50,000 from someone with clear Chinese Communist Party ties tells us all we need to know,” the Republican candidate’s spokesperson said. “You can’t claim to stand up to foreign threats while pocketing money from someone celebrated by the CCP.”

Spanberger’s camp tried to spin it, of course. A spokesperson insisted, “Virginians know that Abigail Spanberger has a demonstrated record of standing up for America’s national security, delivering results for Virginia families across party lines, and never backing down from keeping the American people safe.”

They doubled down, adding, “Her campaign will remain focused on what Virginians care about most, keeping our communities safe, driving down costs, protecting Virginia jobs, and making sure Virginia’s public schools are the very best in America.”

This whole saga exposes a rotten underbelly in political fundraising. While everyday Americans scrape by, these candidates seem all too eager to take handouts from folks aligned with a regime that’s stealing our jobs, spying on our tech, and threatening our way of life.
