CNN panned for out of touch attack on workers

Trump’s Tesla Spin Sparks Fiery CNN Clash

A lively debate erupted on CNN when panelists locked horns over President Donald Trump’s decision to take a Tesla for a spin at the White House with none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk by his side. The moment, a nod to American innovation, showcased Trump’s knack for spotlighting hardworking folks—and ruffled some Democratic feathers in the process.

Kicking things off, Democratic strategist Xochitl Hinojosa took a swipe at the move, implying no sharp Republican mind would green-light Trump boosting a billionaire’s brand in public—especially with Musk tied to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“I’m assuming you agree, because as a Republican strategist, you wouldn’t have advised him to go in front of the White House and drive a Tesla when people —” she started, only to be cut off.

Workers Take Center Stage

Republican commentator Scott Jennings didn’t miss a beat, looking genuinely puzzled. “Wait, why? Of course I would have!” he fired back.

“You know why? Because if I were advising a Republican president, I would say, ‘Let’s support American companies that have thousands of American workers and thousands more workers who make indirect products for it! Yeah, I think it would be a good idea if American companies did well!’”

His defense was a slam dunk for the blue-collar backbone of the nation—something Republicans have long championed.

Hinojosa sidestepped Jennings’ point about Tesla’s workforce, pressing, “Okay, so you’re going to go ahead and support a billionaire, but not support the American worker?” It was a head-scratcher, given Jennings had just highlighted the jobs Tesla sustains.

“Who do you think makes Teslas, Xochitl?! American workers! You think Elon Musk builds them all in his basement?” Jennings retorted.

“They’ve got factories all over the place —” Another panelist chimed in, noting some plants are in China, but Jennings held firm: Musk still employs thousands of Americans. The point stuck—workers matter, and Trump’s GOP gets that.

Optics vs. Opportunity

Shifting gears, Hinojosa zeroed in on optics, fretting that Trump cruising in a six-figure Tesla looked elitist. Jennings wasn’t buying it.

“Did Joe Biden drive a Jeep Rubicon around the South Lawn? Where do they make those?” he countered, reminding everyone that union workers—like the UAW folks who backed Biden—build American vehicles too. Why the double standard? Trump’s ride wasn’t about flash; it was about jobs.

Hinojosa doubled down, circling back to Musk. “We’re talking about a billionaire,” she insisted. “A billionaire who is in the federal government making cuts and making business deals that end up benefitting himself. It’s a terrible look for Donald Trump.”

Her focus on Musk’s wealth ignored the bigger picture: Tesla’s success lifts workers, not just wallets—a priority Republicans under Trump refuse to apologize for.

Republicans Rally for the Working Class

Jennings sealed the showdown with a zinger: “I’ve NEVER seen Democrats so excited to tear down an American company or companies the way they are right now. It’s crazy!”

He nailed it—while Democrats nitpick optics, Trump and the GOP are out there boosting businesses that keep American workers employed. From factory floors to paychecks, this Tesla moment wasn’t a misstep; it was a win for the everyday folk.

What is this democrat fetish about billionaires? Why do they ignore the 10,000’s of jobs and wealth they generate? Is this what irrational BLIND hate does? And, by the way, why do they hate him, and by extension, us?
