With how tight so many of the swing states are ahead of the 2024 election, the most important one is likely to end up being Pennsylvania. The state carries the most electoral votes of any of the 50-50 swing states and whoever wins that state will have a much easier path to victory. While it’s possible, it’s unlikely that Pennsylvania goes one way with North Carolina and Georgia going the other direction.
Currently, the state seems to be in Donald Trump’s favor based on the latest surveys and polls coming out of the Coal State, but it’s still razor close. There’s some warning signs for both campaigns, but one that’s particularly a bad one for Kamala Harris and the Democrats.
A swing state voting black man from the city of Philadelphia recently shared with NewsNation that he is planning to vote for Donald Trump because of the obvious incompetence of the Democrats in power in Washington, D.C. right now. This represents a worrying trend for Kamala Harris as more and more black men are indicating they aren’t going to just blindly vote Democrat this November.
“It don’t matter about whether you like him or not, it matters is about his policies. And people’s not doing good out here with the Democrats,” Mr. Miller shared with the NewsNation network in a short interview. “I feel like this year, it’s time to make a statement with Trump,” he added.
This swing state voter from Pennsylvania highlights the major hurdle that Kamala Harris may not be able to overcome. The reality is that she and Joe Biden have been in power in Washington, D.C. for nearly four years now, and a majority of Americans are not happy with the direction of the nation. The economy and immigration are two of the biggest issues and the Biden-Harris regime scores extremely poorly on those issues.

Usually, a bad economy and concerns over national security is a recipe for losing a major election. That should be concerning for Kamala Harris and her allies. She can try and distance herself from Joe Biden all she wants, but the reality is she’s been defending the work of Joe Biden for years now. There’s immense footage of Harris being a top cheerleader for the Biden-Harris regime’s “performance” so far.
Not only that, but she also lied to the American people for weeks after the horrible Biden debate performance, saying that Joe Biden was totally fine and that he was going to be the Democrat nominee and win this November. There’s no way around that fact. She’s tied to the hip of Joe Biden.

While Donald Trump likely has the upper hand in the Coal State, there’s still an issue that he has to overcome as well. That issue is the political question of abortion. The simple reality is Democrats have the upper hand on that issue, especially in the wake of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.
One Pennsylvania voter said that she wants to vote for Kamala Harris because she perceives her to be better on “freedom” and “rights,” even if that’s not connected to reality. What she’s talking about is abortion, and she is an example of the millions of women who believe that ending the life of an innocent baby in the womb is a sacred “right” or “freedom.”
“When we are talking about freedom and rights, I feel like Harris is more fighting for everybody’s rights, and she’s more open to reproduction rights, which is very important to me,” Deanna Boleschtsky shared with NewsNation in her short interview.
Surveys demonstrate how millions of female voters in America are making abortion a primary issue and will only vote for Kamala Harris because they perceive her to be their savior who will bring back Roe v. Wade to be law of the land. It’s worthy of note that the White House does not have the authority to just magically bring back a Supreme Court ruling precedent that certain voters may have liked.
Regardless, though, Donald Trump has to be disciplined on this issue. So far, his campaign has had the right idea of letting voters in their own state decide how they want their state handle the issue. The reality is the Founding Fathers never thought this social issue was one that the federal government should even touch.
These two short interviews with NewsNation exemplify the widening gender gap among voters. Democrats are increasingly doing better with female voters and Republicans are increasingly doing better with male voters.
The first political party to actually cross the divide and unite the masses will be in a strong position for years to come. Donald Trump seems to signal this would be the case for him and his political legacy. That’s demonstrated in the way Trump’s linking with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to win this November.
The Democrats, on the other hand, have stiff armed anyone and everyone who is trying to keep them from going off the deep end and into far-Left extremism which only serves to alienate average Americans.
What do you think? Does Donald Trump have a better shot at connecting with independent and undecided voters in Pennsylvania? Sound off in the comments below.
