Democrat Congressmembers Plead For Alleged Gang Member’s Return To U.S. During Trip To El Salvador

It seems as though many politicians in today’s political climate are finding it difficult to prioritize the right issues. For many Americans, it feels like lawmakers in Washington, D.C. either care only about themselves or citizens from other countries.

This is evident by the large amount of taxpayer dollars that are being sent to foreign countries to assist them with their efforts in war. Meanwhile, there are countless U.S. citizens who are suffering at home and don’t receive that same amount of care and attention from politicians.

Recently, Democrats in Congress have become furious with the Trump administration for deporting a man from Maryland who has MS-13 ties. This man is now in a prison in El Salvador, along with other gang members who were residing in the Untied States illegally.

Despite these ties to MS-13, some Democrats are oddly prioritizing his release as their main issue currently. Instead of focusing on Americans who are struggling with domestic issues, these politicians feel the need to go at-bat for an alleged criminal who entered the country illegally.

Congressional Push for Deported Immigrant’s Safe Return

A group of House Democrats traveled to El Salvador this week, intensifying efforts to secure the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old immigrant deported from Maryland last month. Representatives Robert Garcia (CA), Maxwell Frost (FL), Yassamin Ansari (AZ), and Maxine Dexter (OR) arrived in the Central American nation on Monday, following a recent visit by Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen. Their mission: to demand transparency and action regarding Abrego Garcia’s situation after his controversial deportation.

The delegation’s trip comes amid growing concerns over Abrego Garcia’s safety and whereabouts. After being denied a meeting with him, the lawmakers escalated their response by sending a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. “Since we were not able to get the answers we need today from the embassy, we have written a letter, just as of 30 minutes ago, to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, demanding daily proof of life for Mr. Abrego Garcia, demanding he has access to counsel, and of course, demanding his safe return home,” Rep. Ansari declared. She emphasized their resolve, stating, “And we will not stop until this is complete.”

Abrego Garcia, who crossed the border illegally but later obtained protected legal status in Maryland, was deported in what officials initially described as an administrative error. However, some high-ranking Trump administration officials now claim his removal was justified, alleging ties to the MS-13 gang—a claim that has sparked fierce debate. The Democrats’ visit to El Salvador reflects a sense of urgency not only for Abrego Garcia but allegedly for constituents back home as well.

“We are also worried about our own constituents; we represent people across the entire nation,” Rep. Frost told reporters. He highlighted the flood of calls from concerned citizens, saying, “We are getting hundreds and hundreds of calls – people saying ‘Go to El Salvador, do something, do something about the fact that president of the United States in the Oval Office is talking about sending U.S. citizens here to El Salvador to the prison here.’”

The lawmakers’ efforts build on Senator Van Hollen’s recent trip, which provided the first confirmation that Abrego Garcia was alive. “We don’t want to wait until things get worse,” Frost said, praising Van Hollen’s work. “What we want to know is where is he at now? What is his condition now? His family deserves to know, the people deserve to know.”

Adding a personal dimension to the story, Abrego Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez, a U.S. citizen, expressed gratitude for the congressional support. “We’re deeply grateful to the members of Congress and advocates for justice now on the ground in El Salvador, building on the leadership of Senator Van Hollen,” she said in a statement. “Their presence sends a powerful message: the fight to bring Kilmar home isn’t over.”

Despite a meeting with U.S. embassy officials in El Salvador, the Democrats left without the answers they sought. Rep. Ansari voiced frustration, stating, “We had a meeting this morning with the embassy here in El Salvador and from what we have heard there is no reason for me to believe that our administration, the Trump administration, is doing anything to facilitate his safe return home.” The group also “formally requested” to meet Abrego Garcia, but Frost noted the Salvadoran government denied the request, citing the unofficial nature of their trip.

This biased article refers to Garcia as an “immigrant” instead of an ILLEGAL! Doesn’t mention he’s a woman beater per his own wife. Sitting in El Salvador drinking margaritas and talking to that Congressman in a restaurant, Garcia looks more like he’s been on vacation than in a “death prison”… and the lying Democrat Congressman denies all that our own eyes see…

Those demanding anything for Garcia are ignoring their duty to their own. They are willfully and aggressively violating their oath of office and should be arrested and jailed immediately.
