Tulsi Gabbard was not expected to be confirmed as the Director of National Intelligence as easily as she was. By the time her confirmation vote came around, it was just a formality and there was nothing the Washington, D.C. establishment could do about it. There’s a reason she was such a hot target for the establishment, though.
Gabbard, a lot like Donald Trump, is highly critical of the abuse of the “intel” agencies and their power. She would be an outsider entering into the position as DNI, threatening to dig up and cut out all the bureaucracy and ugly abuses of power that agencies like the CIA, NSA, and FBI have been guilty of for decades now. If there’s one thing the D.C. establishment is known for, it’s sinking anyone’s attempts to reform the federal government for the sake of transparency for the American people.
Now in the position, Tulsi Gabbard has to live up to the expectations that the Trump administration allies have of her, and it would appear she’s doing just that. According to new reports, Tulsi Gabbard is making sure agents who are caught in wildly unprofessional behavior while on agency time and while using agency equipment are swiftly given the pink slip and sent home.
Tulsi Gabbard Moves to Fire Over 100 Intelligence Officers Over Inappropriate Chats
Tulsi Gabbard, the recently confirmed Director of National Intelligence (DNI), has taken swift action to dismiss over 100 intelligence officers implicated in participating in explicit chats on an internal agency messaging platform. Gabbard, who assumed her position earlier this month, has called the behavior a “gross violation of trust” and vowed to take corrective action.
In a statement on Tuesday, Gabbard explained that she spearheaded a directive to terminate the individuals involved in the inappropriate communications. These conversations reportedly took place on the National Security Agency’s (NSA) “Intelink” platform, which is used by intelligence community personnel for professional purposes.
“There are over 100 people from across the intelligence community that contributed to and participated in … what is really just an egregious violation of trust,” Gabbard told Fox News’s Jesse Watters on Tuesday.
The actions, which Gabbard described as “horrific,” have caused an uproar due to their brazen use of an NSA platform. She further emphasized the severity of the situation during her appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, saying, “When you see what these people were saying — they were brazen in using an NSA platform intended for professional use to conduct this kind of really, really horrific behavior.”
The explicit chats were uncovered by Christopher Rufo, a conservative activist and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research. Rufo’s findings have sparked widespread concern about the misuse of government resources by intelligence personnel.
In response, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) issued a memo to all intelligence agencies, instructing them to identify the individuals involved in the “obscene, p*rnographic, and s*xually explicit” chatrooms. The memo also ordered that their employment be terminated and their security clearances revoked. According to ODNI spokesperson Alexa Henning, the deadline for agencies to provide this information is set for February 28.
The NSA has since acknowledged the posts, noting that they “appear to show inappropriate discussions” among personnel in the intelligence community. The agency has launched an internal investigation into the matter. “IC collaboration platforms are intended to drive mission outcomes,” the NSA said in a statement on Tuesday. “Potential misuse of these platforms by a small group of individuals does not represent the community.” The agency further emphasized that investigations into the misuse of government systems are ongoing.
When reached for additional comment, the ODNI referred The Hill to Gabbard’s remarks on Fox News, reinforcing the seriousness of the issue and the steps being taken to address it.

President Trump was not lying when he referred to WASHINGTON as a SESPOOL. The only mistake Our President made was in not referring to it with a Much Worse NAME. It is past the time for the United States to be gifted from above with such a brilliant man as Donald Trump to Lead Our Country. I for one thank my Heavenly Father for His Raising Up Donald Trump.
