Ever since Vice President Kamala Harris took over as the Democratic nominee for president, she has been heavily criticized for her lack of media appearances and press conferences. This criticism was certainly warranted, as she practically ignored the press for weeks meanwhile, Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance appeared on a multitude of news programs, podcasts, and radio interviews to discuss their policy positions.
But now, the Harris campaign has somewhat changed their tune. In the past several days, the vice president has appeared on programs such as The View, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and CBS News’s 60 Minutes. She’s even followed Donald Trump’s lead by trying to connect with independent media and entertainment outlets to reach younger and more diverse voters.
Her appearance on 60 Minutes set off the most fireworks, as the interviewer, Bill Whitaker was quick to give her tough followup questions to many of her answers. This is something that Kamala Harris hasn’t really experienced when she does decide to do a media appearance. Usually she goes on programs that are very friendly towards Leftist guests and don’t dare to give them any pushback even if what they’re saying is absurd or patently false.
And as many Americans know, Kamala Harris quite frankly isn’t a stellar interviewee. She often times has difficulty answering questions without turning them into giant word salads. That’s much of what happened during the 60 Minutes interview, especially when Whitaker challenged her on various topics.
But one of Harris’s responses to a question about Israel has especially caused some controversy. In fact, it was discovered that her answer was so bad that CBS News edited it. And that’s caused Donald Trump to get involved by demanding an investigation into these deceitful edits.
60 Minutes Caught Editing Harris Interview And Trump Wants Consequences
Former President Donald Trump is demanding an investigation into CBS News’s flagship program, 60 Minutes, after the show was accused of deceptively editing an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. The controversy erupted over apparent discrepancies between a promotional clip and the full broadcast of the interview, which touched on U.S.-Israel relations.
“I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again,” Trump stated in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump expressed his belief that the selective editing may have been part of a broader, illegal attempt to bolster Harris’s position in the political race. He went on to suggest that the incident could even amount to a campaign finance violation.
“This is a stain on the reputation of 60 Minutes that is not recoverable – It will always remain with this once storied brand,” Trump continued. “I have never heard of such a thing being done in ‘News.’ It is the very definition of FAKE NEWS! The public is owed a MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE APOLOGY! This is an open and shut case, and must be investigated, starting today!”
The former president’s comments came in the wake of the broadcast, during which Harris appeared to give two contrasting answers to a question posed by Bill Whitaker about Israel’s conduct in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. In a promotional clip shared by CBS News on Sunday, Harris responded to Whitaker’s statement, “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening,” by saying: “The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”
However, when the full interview aired on Monday night, that particular statement from Harris was notably absent. The remarks did not appear in the televised broadcast, the online version of the interview, the YouTube upload, nor in the transcript or the show’s “Overtime” segment.
Instead, in the version that aired, Harris was shown responding to Whitaker’s same statement about Netanyahu by saying: “We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” You can watch for yourself, below:

The removal of the earlier response has sparked allegations of intentional manipulation to present a more coherent or favorable version of Harris’s comments. Trump and others have pointed to the selective editing as evidence of bias in mainstream media, and the former president’s call for an investigation suggests this story may continue to unfold. But as for now, CBS News has yet to issue a formal response to the allegations.
Do you think CBS News should be under investigation for their editing of the Kamala Harris 60 Minutes interview? Do instances like this further hurt your trust with the media? Let us know in the comments below!
The media is more crooked then the politicians
I have had the opinion for many years now, that the media will cut and paste your answers to fit their agenda. This is just proof of that suspicion on my part. Yes, CBS should be investigated and censured in some manner (if) when the editing is found to be true. IF they edited this, what else have they edited to make them or someone close to them look/feel better? I don’t trust them like I don’t trust attorneys………about as far as I can throw them.
Yes and others as well. We need real reporting, not the left ajenda!
The MSM are all bought and paid for by the leftists. They only report what they’re told to report. News organizations stopped reporting the truth back in the 80’s.
I think CBS should be under investigation for editing Harris 60 Minutes interview. This crap that they did and what ABC did is extremely troubling to me. Whatever happened to the ‘TRUTH’ ?? It no longer is part of NEWS ANYMORE !! THIS IS VERY DISTURBING !!!
I no longer watch/listen to ABC, CBS, or NBC news programs
