Donald Trump’s announcement that he would be nominating U.S. House of Representative Matt Gaetz from Florida for the role as U.S. Attorney General was one that rocked the entire Washington, D.C. and bureaucrat class. They were not expecting that one at all. No one predicted it and no one saw it coming.
The backlash against Matt Gaetz has been immense. The Big Media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and ABC have been spending a ton of air-time just smearing Matt Gaetz and inviting guests on to discuss how much of a “dangerous” pick he is. Though, many Americans are wondering if he’s a great pick if the career politicians and the deep staters are terrified of his potential as Attorney General.
Even some Republicans are speaking out against Matt Gaetz as AG, saying that he’s too much of an outsider. They’re basically admitting that they can’t control him and therefore can’t trust him heading up the Department of Justice.
This is the reason why some Republicans despise Matt Gaetz.pic.twitter.com/j4eyMOcZMG

Recently, Donald Trump was asked by reporters if the pressure was getting to him to replace his nomination of Matt Gaetz as U.S. Attorney General. Donald Trump in no uncertain terms made it clear that he’s not going to do that. He only had a one word response: “No.”
In Boca Chica, Texas, Donald Trump was preparing to enjoy the SpaceX rocket launch in support of his new ally Elon Musk. There, reporters asked him about his nomination of Matt Gaetz and the potential that someone else could fill the role in a less controversial manner.
“Mr. President, are you reconsidering the nomination of Matt Gaetz?” President Donald Trump was asked by reporters. “No,” Trump simply responded before walking away and not taking anymore questions. He refused to answer anymore questions about the Matt Gaetz nomination.
Matt Gaetz’s critics have been hanging on for dear life on the hopes that this mysterious “misconduct” report will be made public and ultimately nuke his chances of being made U.S. Attorney General. Matt Gaetz has long maintained that he is innocent of any misconduct or criminal behavior.
In fact, The View recently had to read a legal statement live on air, clarifying that Matt Gaetz has not been found liable or guilty of any of the accusations that have been lobbed at him, including s*xual misconduct with multiple women. Of course, no one cares about innocent until proven guilty anymore. In America today, we treat everyone as guilty until proven innocent.
Sonny Hostin was forced to issue a “legal note” on The View that Matt Gaetz was found to have done nothing wrong after a three year DOJ investigation. Enjoy. pic.twitter.com/wiz0OhynFK

The Matt Gaetz nomination at first seemed like it was going to blow up in Donald Trump’s face, though now it seems as though the Republicans who were previously against Gaetz are coming around to him. It’s not clear if he will have the votes necessary to be confirmed, but it’s important to note that Gaetz does not need a single Democrat to vote to confirm him if almost all Republicans do.
Recently, Senator Lindsey Graham met with Matt Gaetz and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, and out of that meeting Graham has reportedly shared that he will now be supporting Gaetz’s nomination. Not only that, but Graham will also reportedly be encouraging other Republican holdouts to hop on the bandwagon.
On the flip side, most of the media establishment is still making it clear they want to see Matt Gaetz dropped. Not just Matt Gaetz, though. They also want Donald Trump to drop Tulsi Gabbard as the Director of National Intelligence nominee as well, another pick that scares the daylights out of the Washington, D.C. elites.
The New York Post published a shocking opinion piece from their editorial board titled “Please, Mr. President, ditch this dreadful duo — Gabbard and Gaetz”. The New York Post is usually a fairly conservative friendly outlet, but they are making it extremely clear where they stand.
It’s not clear how the chips will fall and how the dust will settle, but Donald Trump is definitely sticking to his guns for now.
What do you think? Should Donald Trump stick to his initial gut picks? Or should he move on to someone else for U.S. Attorney General? Let us know in the comments below.
NO is good enuf!!!!!!!!
I am in 100% behind President Trump’s picks
I have said this before. Bill Clinton and Obama changed everybody right down to the kitchen help and the chef. To you Democrats the Republicans won. Go do each other until next time. Barbeque some crickets. You lost the election due to open borders.
Gaetz and Gabbard…Senators honor the mandate
Yes, Gaetz is a good pick.
