The outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and ABC are all going to come up with a million reasons why Donald Trump was able to pull off the most incredible comeback in American history. Some of those reasons will be right, like CNN pointing out that Donald Trump has been able to win over much more minority support than ever before.

In fact, Donald Trump was reportedly able to beat Kamala Harris among hispanic men to the tune of 10 points. What was that metric like in 2020? Oh, they voted for Joe Biden by 23 points. Yeah, a 33% swing will definitely hurt, and it certainly did for Kamala Harris on election night.

That’s a big factor to be sure, but the more fundamental part of Donald Trump’s win is one that the mainstream media is not going to want to talk about at all. They’re going to avoid it like the plague. That is the fact that Donald Trump won by driving out unbelievable rural support unlike anything anyone ever saw coming. This is an uncomfortable fact for the CNN and MSNBC types because they live in their hyper-urban bubbles.

Donald Trump was able to outperform Kamala Harris in almost every single rural county. As the night went on, it became clear that rural regions went redder, and only very few urban regions went bluer. That’s a recipe for disaster for Kamala Harris and she paid the price for it.

Donald Trump flipped counties that no Republican had been able to win in decades. This is partly because the minority, rural voters who were formerly Obama and Biden voters stayed home and didn’t show any excitement about a Kamala Harris administration.

The sheer amount of counties and regions that flipped from Joe Biden to Donald Trump is actually incredible. The cities were always going to go for Democrats, as we all know, but Donald Trump pulled out big wins in northeast and midwest counties that were supposed to go for Kamala. The only problem, they didn’t.

Take a look at Madison, New Hampshire. There, Joe Biden won the county with 54.4% of the vote. Before the night was over, the rural New Hampshire county was already called for Donald Trump over Kamala Harris. Though Donald Trump did not win New Hampshire, it’s an example of the type of county Harris needed to win but couldn’t.

With 95% of the vote in, rural Madison, NH has FLIPPED from Biden to Trump:

2024: 49.4% Trump
2020: 54.4% Biden

What does this tell us? Well the cities are not enough for Kamala Harris and the Democrats to win Presidential and Senate races. As much as they would like to just let the big cities do the heavy lifting and give them a 1 AM ballot-counting boost, the reality is they do need rural America. They hate to admit it, but they do.

Democrats Being Forced To Take A Look In The Mirror

What all this means is that Democrats are about to be forced to take a look in the mirror if they want to maintain political relevancy in the years and decades to come.

Their radicalism and their extremism has turned off so many Americans, even though they thought that their radical ideas were slam dunks. They thought relentlessly going after Donald Trump was a slam dunk. They thought “trans rights” were a slam dunk. They thought abortion was a slam dunk.

The truth is that it may have helped their cause in a select few cities and urban areas in America, but those agenda items turned off so many rural Americans, even those who were previously die-hard blue voters. That’s a hard pill to swallow for them.

What the Democrats will have to do here is go to the drawing board and reconsider how they actually connect with Americans from all over the country, much like Donald Trump has. Not just the ones who agree with you. If they don’t take an honest look in the mirror, the Democrat Party is in serious trouble.
