Donald Trump’s Improving Black Voter Support Presents Existential Threat To Democrat Party

It’s not controversial to say that the Democrat Party has been pandering to minority voting blocs and relying on those voting blocs for political relevancy for decades now. It’s just simply true that the Democrats take for granted the fact that they’ll just show up to an election with a (D) next to their name on a ballot and expect 90% or more support from black voters. This is especially true in Presidential elections and U.S. Senate races as well.

What would it look like if Democrats could not rely on a vast majority of black voters just automatically trusting the Democrat Party candidates to be their best option? Well, it would be a serious existential issue for the Democrat Party as a whole. The Democrat Party would be fighting for political relevancy and survival.

This scenario isn’t so far fetched, as Donald Trump is poised to perform better than any Republican with black voters on the national stage in more than fifty years. The nightmare scenario of the Democrats is within the realm of possibility, which is not something that was on their radar less than ten years ago when Barack Obama was President.

A major civil rights attorney, Leo Terrell, went on Fox News recently to share that he believes the tide is turning in Donald Trump’s favor because younger black voters aren’t buying into the “race card” that the Democrats have been successfully playing with Millennials and even Generation X. They aren’t buying into the race card and they’re looking at Democrat economic policies with more suspicion than ever.

This is on the heels of a Fox News report that showed that Donald Trump is receiving north of 20% of the black vote nationally, with some surveys saying he would receive as much as 26% if you include the third party candidates like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Jill Stein. This indicates that the wider the spread of candidates there are, curiously enough, black voters become more interested in Donald Trump.

Lawyer Leo Terrell said that the Trump “colorblind” politics make a lot of sense with young voters. He firmly believes Trump will exceed the 18% black vote support benchmark that would be a disaster for Kamala Harris and the Democrats this November.

“That bet and dinner is still on and let me give you some facts,” Mr. Terrell told Fox News’s Varney during an interview. “Black Americans under 30 are not drinking the Democrat Kool-Aid. Stu, the Democrats want black Americans to think that we’re still in 1965, that we’re in the civil rights movement, and that is totally rejected by young black Americans,” he added.

Terrell went on to say that Trump wants to offer economic success for all Americans, not just ones who are favored due to race or socio-economic positions. The Democrats have long been a champion for favoring certain groups for political benefit, whereas the modern Republican economic charter of economic success is for everyone, regardless of race or creed.

“Trump has basically offered the same policies for all Americans. They want to have a job. They want to buy a house. They want a secure border. And what black Americans, young black Americans are saying, is they’re rejecting the Democrat Kool-Aid,” Terrell added to his comments.

“They don’t believe that they wake up with racism. I want to be very clear on this: there is no systemic racism in America. Racism, yes, but not government-sponsored racism. That is gone. And that does not work in buying young black Americans. They reject the racism card, and they’re going to Trump economic policies,” he went on to say.

Varney with Fox News responded saying that he believes Donald Trump’s economic policies have “worked very well” for black Americans, with Terrell completely affirming that claim. “You are 100% correct. Trump economic policies are colorblind. They work for all Americans and black Americans, under the Trump Administration, benefited,” Terrell responded.

Economic Support For All Americans, No Matter The Background

In recent months, Democrats have been championing economic policies that are supposed to help specific groups who they believe will be key in winning elections this November. This is why Kamala Harris allies are now chirping about “price controls” on food items. What they don’t tell you is that these policies are actually bad for the common man.

After President Nixon passed price controls for gas, it created a gas shortage that ravaged the nation and America didn’t recover until the Reagan administration’s policies reversed so many years of bad economic policy from the 1970s.

The Left says that the price controls are supposed to help low income Americans support their families, but what it actually does is create scarcity as middle class Americans and upper class Americans will be able to horde items at a much lower price than ever before. This will create a black market where the low income Americans are actually exploited!

Will these price control policies land with black communities who have voiced a great distrust of the federal government? Time will tell, but the signals seem to be that the Democrats might be overplaying their hand here.

What do you think? Are Kamala Harris’s economic policies going to help or hurt the common man? Sound off in the comments below.
