House Representative Nancy Mace Accuses SC Attorney General Of Violent Crimes Against Women

The internet exploded recently when U.S. House Representative (R-SC) surprised the Washington, D.C. circuit with a Congressional Floor speech in which she accused four different men of violent crimes of r*pe, s*xual assault, and even human trafficking of women. She said that they were “some of the most heinous crimes against women imaginable.”

One of the individuals she accused of the violent crimes is the sitting Attorney General for the state of South Carolina, Alan Wilson. He has been in the office since 2011, and is largely expected to be an opponent for Nancy Mace in a potential gubernatorial match-up for the Governor’s mansion. Another one of the four men she mentioned is an ex-romantic partner of Mace’s, Patrick Bryant.

“Eric Bowman Patrick Bryant Brian Musgrave and John Osborne you have bought yourself a one-way ticket to h*ll it is Non-Stop there are no connections so I and all of your victims can watch you rot for an eternity,” the South Carolina Republican started out saying in her floor speech. She then moved on to alleging that she has evidence of their violent crimes against women.

“In November 2023 I accidentally uncovered some of the most heinous crimes against women imaginable we’re talking about r*pe, non-consensual photos, non-consensual videos of women,” Mace added. Making the accusations even more disgusting was the implication Mace made that the four men were guilty of this sort of violent crime against underage girls. Nancy Mace also gave details of her allegedly being r*ped after she was, in her opinion, drugged so she could be abused.

Mace details the event saying that she was at a property “owned” by her ex-fiancé, adding later on in the retelling of the events that she does not know if it was Bryant who specifically r*ped her but that she knows he was likely involved. You can watch a clip from the floor speech using the video player below, but be warned that she goes into some detail that may not be suitable for all ages.

The Reactions To Nancy Mace Speech Are All Over The Place

On the one hand, there are many who are quick to praise Nancy Mace for her bravery on the House Floor and calling out four men who she believes are guilty of a sort of trafficking ring. Certainly, if this is the case, the four men should be investigated and found to be guilty, then thrown behind bars for life with the keys thrown away. But that’s only if it’s true.

Some constitutional experts have noted that the U.S. Constitution does give representatives speaking on the House Floor a ton of leeway to essentially say whatever they want without any legal consequences. The intention of this in the Constitution is to allow legislators the room to be able to say what they need to in the service of legislating well and proper oversight of the rest of the federal government.

Section 6 of the U.S. Constitution notes that “Senators and Representatives… shall in all cases except treason, felony, and breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other place.”

With this in mind, some are curious if it’s possible that Mace is using some constitutional legal protections to be able to accuse the four men, knowing that she basically can’t be hit with any litigation over possible defamation. Some on the Democrat side of the equation are even outright discrediting her, saying that she is using this opportunity to potentially sink her major gubernatorial opponent in a race for the Governor’s mansion.

Conservatives are quickly pointing out that this was not the way Democrats handled the explosive accusations brought against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh when he was in the nomination process before the U.S. Senate. At that time, Democrats were extremely quick to label Kavanaugh as guilty for crimes though there was no evidence produced at all that tied him to any crimes. In this case, Mace is alleging that there is video and document evidence of the four men being guilty of the violent crimes.

No matter what you may think of this particular situation, most Americans agree that the “MeToo” movement that reached its height of drama during the Kavanaugh confirmation process went way too far with its implications of “believing all women.” The Left now just doesn’t like it that their “believe all women” rule means they would have to give sympathy to a Republican like Nancy Mace who is a staunch Donald Trump conservative.

I personally think Nancy Mace is being earnest but at the same time it’s a small political show. It’s ironic that the Democrats “Believe All Women rule” is going to blow up in their faces over this…. Good Show Mz Mace! Love it…..

Is there something in the water in South Carolina that produces the worst of the worst? Republicans and Democrats both.
