Joe Biden shuts down after 4PM, daily: Report

Sleepy Joe strikes again

White House aides have reportedly claimed that President Joe Biden is only “dependably engaged” during a six-hour window each day, raising further questions about his capacity to serve as President.

Several aides have observed “flashes of an absent-minded Biden” in certain instances, while he appears “engaged” in others, according to eight current and former White House aides who spoke to Axios.

Sources told the outlet that Biden is “dependably engaged” between the hours of “10am to 4pm.”

Outside of that time range, or when Biden is traveling abroad, verbal miscues and fatigue are more likely to occur, the sources added.

This revelation comes on the heels of Biden’s performance in the presidential debate against former President Donald Trump, where he appeared confused, froze at times, spoke with a hoarse voice, mumbled, and repeated debunked claims.

What does this mean for 2024?

The 81-year-old president’s debate performance has intensified doubts about his mental and physical capabilities, with many suggesting he should be replaced.

This has caused panic among several donors, some of whom have called for him to drop out, while others have distanced themselves from his campaign.

Despite these concerns, the Biden campaign has insisted that Biden is “not dropping out” of the presidential race.

He’s even gotten some support from major names.

Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton issued statements of support following Biden’s debate performance.

Additionally, the Biden campaign sent out a fundraising email featuring a message from actor Robert De Niro, a vocal supporter.

The day after the debate, Biden spoke at a rally in North Carolina, where he appeared more energetic.

During the rally, he admitted that he does not “walk as easy,” “speak as smoothly,” or “debate as well” as he used to.

Americans aren’t buying it

Polls reflect growing concerns about Biden’s fitness for office.

A Rasmussen Reports poll conducted between May 28-30 found that 57 percent of voters feel Biden has gotten “less and less mentally sharp” over time, while 34 percent disagreed.

An NBC News poll conducted between January 26-30 revealed that 62 percent of registered voters have “major concerns” about Biden’s mental and physical health needed to serve a second term.

Fourteen percent expressed “moderate” concerns, while 13 percent had “minor concerns.”
