Suburban women have turned out to be a great assest for Democrats during election season. Back in 2020, President Joe Biden was able to make significant strides with this demographic in his presidential election victory over former President Donald Trump.
If Democrats, specifically Vice President Kamala Harris, expect to win on election night in November, then they have to perform well among suburban women. There’s no way to win without having a gargantuan lead over Donald Trump with this voting bloc.
But a recent poll has come out that shows that Harris’s support among this important voting bloc may be dwindling thanks to her lack of any real solution to fix the failing economy under her and President Biden’s watch. It all comes down to one issue that all suburban women are concerned about. That is the economy.
Suburban Women Concerned Over Future Of Economy Under Harris
A growing number of suburban women are voicing concerns about Vice President Kamala Harris’s economic policies, which are increasingly becoming a central issue for voters as the 2024 election approaches.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Place America First super PAC, 72% of suburban women have identified the economy as a top priority in the upcoming election. Of these respondents, 70% believe that Harris lacks “viable solutions” to address economic challenges, especially when compared to former President Donald Trump.
The survey highlights Trump’s rising appeal among other crucial voting blocs as well, such as English-speaking Hispanics and veterans. In fact, 65% of Hispanic voters indicated they are more likely to vote for Trump, while 67% of veterans expressed confidence that Trump could better manage veteran-related issues than Harris.
While the survey showed Trump making gains among key demographics, other polling data suggested a more competitive race. Some polls reflected a slight bump for Harris following the debate, indicating the candidates are running neck and neck in the battleground states.
Notably, the latest surveys from the New York Times and Siena College show Trump gaining traction in states like Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, swinging those states in his favor after the debate. However, Harris appears to be holding a lead in Pennsylvania, a state many analysts believe will play a pivotal role in determining the outcome of the November election. But there is still plenty of time before the election for momentum to swing in Trump’s favor regarding his chances in the Keystone State.
Harris’s Failure To Connect With Suburban Women
Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, Democrats have used the issue of abortion to mobilize female voters to cast their ballots for Leftist candidates. That strategy certainly worked during the 2022 midterms as Republicans failed to win key races that would’ve brought forth a red wave during that election cycle.
And while abortion is still a major issue for some women, others have now identified the economy as their top issue, and rightfully so. During the Biden/Harris administration, inflation has been on the rise and Americans are spending more at the gas pump and at the grocery store.
In response to the poor economy that has developed under her watch, Kamala Harris has offered little to no solutions. During a recent townhall with talk show host Oprah Winfrey, Harris was asked a question by voters who were wondering how she would address the high cost of living that many Americans are dealing with. But unfortunately for those voters, they were given a word-salad of an answer by Harris that offered no real solutions:

With an answer like that, it’s no wonder why voters like suburban women are concerned about Harris’s plan to address high costs and rising inflation.
And if these voters decide to ditch Harris on election day and either vote third party or for former President Trump, than Harris and the democrats could be looking at a major defeat.

As I said in 2016, America needs a business plan NOT another politician. The economy was much better 2016 to 2020. I had breathing room in my personal budget. The left seems to want the US to vote in socialism as Khrushchev predicted. I will vote for sanity and the Constitution every time. The federal government’s only Constitutional mandate is to regulate interstate transportation and foreign trade.
And secure our borders!
