Who can forget in 2016 when the leaked Access Hollywood tape of Donald Trump was released that showed him speaking disparagingly about women? At the time, Trump was heavily criticized by both sides of the political aisle and even Republicans were calling on him to drop out of the race.

Trump would end up winning the presidency that year of course, but that scandal was certainly a major talking point during the final stretch of the 2016 election.

Now, Kamala Harris and her campaign are dealing with a scandal of their own, but they’re choosing to hide from it and completely not address it at all.

Doug Emhoff’s Alleged Mistreatment Of Women Has Harris Campaign Silent

New accusations continue to surface about second gentleman Doug Emhoff, yet Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign has so far chosen not to respond publicly. This year, several claims have emerged regarding Emhoff’s past, including allegations of an affair with a nanny during his first marriage and a reported incident in which he allegedly slapped a girlfriend at a 2012 event in France.

Attempts to gain comment from the White House, the vice president’s office, and Harris’s campaign have gone unanswered, according to the Washington Examiner.

The latest report by the Daily Mail shares troubling details from a New York attorney, identified only as “Jane,” who says she was struck in the face so forcefully that she spun around. Jane expressed her frustration with Emhoff’s current public image as a champion of women’s rights, saying she feels unsettled watching “this completely fabricated persona being portrayed.”

“He’s being held out to be the antithesis of who he actually is,” Jane told the outlet. “That is utterly shocking.”

Despite the gravity of these allegations, media coverage has been relatively sparse, even after Emhoff acknowledged having had an affair during his first marriage. While a spokesperson for Emhoff has dismissed the slapping allegation as “untrue” and stated that “any suggestion that he would or has ever hit a woman is false,” the allegations remain a topic of interest.

Jane shared with the Daily Mail that she initially met Emhoff on Match.com in 2012. During their brief but intense relationship, Emhoff even invited his son, Cole, along for their first date. Jane says their relationship was serious enough that Emhoff openly discussed marriage and children with her.

However, she recounts that the relationship ultimately ended after a heated incident, during which Emhoff allegedly accused her of flirting with a valet driver, leading to an altercation where both reportedly slapped each other.

Since the reports resurfaced, Emhoff has taken to social media, referring to himself as a proud “girl dad” and emphasizing his commitment to women’s rights. But now, though, his public image has certainly taken a hit thanks to these allegations that have come out against him.

And to make matters worse, Kamala Harris – a supposed champion of women’s rights – hasn’t addressed any of the controversies surrounding her husband and his treatment of women.
