Kamala Harris was never anyone’s favorite politician. In fact, before her sudden bursting on the scene, she was one of the most hated.

According to FiveThirtyEight polling averages, Kamala Harris had an approval rating below 40% consistently before becoming the Democrats’ candidate. The week before being ushered into the spotlight, her numbers skyrocketed, though even to this day more people disapprove of her than approve.

But how is it that so many Americans decided that Kamala Harris isn’t so bad? Well the obvious answer is that the full force of the mainstream media bailed from Joe Biden and instead put its weight behind Kamala. However, it may just not be enough.

As former President Donald Trump’s lead in the Electoral College widens over Vice President Kamala Harris, the national media has gone into overdrive, doing everything it can to prop her up. The latest and most blatant example of this? CBS News, bending over backward to make Harris look competent.

Conservatives are calling out CBS for its obvious attempts to mask Harris’ infamous tendency to ramble incoherently. Harris, who’s become a walking punchline for her bizarre, often incomprehensible statements, delivered yet another cringeworthy, jumbled response during a 60 Minutes interview on Israel.

The raw, embarrassing moment first aired on CBS’ Face the Nation, but magically, it didn’t make the cut for the Monday edition of 60 Minutes.

Instead, CBS aired a cleaned-up, more polished version of Harris’ response, conveniently omitting her usual gaffe-filled performance. You have to wonder — did Harris’ team pressure CBS to scrub the mess?

CBS owes voters transparency and should release the full, unedited interview. Only then can it begin to rebuild trust with an audience that is watching the mainstream media’s credibility collapse at an alarming rate.

A Gallup poll confirms it — public trust in television media is at its lowest in nearly 25 years.

“We do not control CBS’ production decisions and refer questions to CBS,” a Harris campaign aide told Fox News Digital. But will CBS be honest and release all communication with the Harris campaign? Or is it going to keep playing defense for Harris?

Trump, always quick to point out media bias, weighed in on Truth Social Wednesday, highlighting yet another case of CBS’ questionable editorial decisions.

This is just the latest in CBS’ self-inflicted wounds. The network also faced backlash for throwing its own CBS Mornings co-anchor Tony Dokoupil under the bus after his interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates, an anti-Israel, pro-Hamas author. Dokoupil was apparently too tough on Coates for CBS’ liking, even though Shari Redstone, the chair of CBS’ parent company Paramount Global, publicly stood by Dokoupil.

It’s clear what’s happening here: CBS News has chosen to act as a PR machine for Kamala Harris, a Democratic candidate who, by the way, has never won a single electoral vote on a national stage. Real journalism seems to be a distant memory at CBS.
