Official U.S. Border Patrol Union Endorses Donald Trump For President

The immigration issue has been, once again, a top focus for this election cycle as Americans are sick and tired of being told there’s nothing that can be done to fix the illegal immigration waves. That’s what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris claimed earlier this year before they signed some executive orders to get them out of a tight spot politically.

Realizing that it’s a critical issue for voters, Kamala Harris has tried to make it sound like she’s actually the “tough on crime” and “tough on illegal immigration” candidate by going to the border for a photo op. She’s also been slyly adopting some of Donald Trump’s policies for her campaign, which isn’t uncommon for her considering she’s also copied his homework on the “No Tax On Tips” proposal that’s become quite popular.

Her efforts are for naught. The American people are indicating in the most recent surveys that she is still not to be trusted on the immigration issue compared to Donald Trump. Not only that, but Donald Trump just earned the endorsement of the official Border Patrol Union, which was announced this past weekend at a Trump campaign rally in the state of Arizona.

“If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country, is going to go to h*ll,” the President of the National Border Patrol Council shared at the rally on Sunday. “The untold millions of people, unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing m*rders, r*pes, robberies, burglaries, and every other crime will continue to put our country in peril,” Mr. Perez added.

“Only one man can fix that and that is Donald J. Trump. He has always stood with the men and women who protect this border,” Perez went on to say, before making the endorsement official. “On behalf of the 16,000 men and women represented by the National Border Patrol Council, we strongly support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States.” You can watch the endorsement clip using the video player below.

Donald Trump Lays Out Plan To Assist Border Patrol Agents

During the same rally, Donald Trump provided a few plans of his to help the border patrol agents do their job more effectively and help their families, considering the great service they are doing to our nation.

He announced that he wants to hire 10,000 new border patrol agents, give them a 10% raise across the board, and provide them and their families a $10,000 retention bonus for sticking through the tough job of trying to keep our borders safe. Trump lamented the treatment of the border patrol officers by the Biden-Harris administration during his rally comments.

Illegal immigration has come into focus as a top issue for Americans this election season, though it was not in 2020. In 2016, the immigration issue topped the issue surveys, but in 2020 Americans were more concerned with their jobs and the ongoing pandemic panic.

In 2016, a Gallup survey indicated that around 38% of Americans said that immigration levels should decrease, with another 38% saying it should stay at the same levels they were at that year. Just 21% said they should increase.

In 2020, only 28% of Americans believed that immigration levels should decrease. 34% of Americans also said that immigration needed to increase, which was the first time in decades that public opinion showed more Americans wanting more immigration rather than less.

However, in 2024, the entire public opinion has dramatically changed. A stunning 55% of Americans now believe that immigration levels need to decrease and just 16% of Americans believe that immigration levels should increase. This being Donald Trump’s top issue bodes well for him right now compared to 2020.
