Ousted FEMA staffer blows the whistle on Biden-Harris’ targeting of Trump supporters

For most Americans, now is a time to take a breath and relax. The election is over, we know who will be in power, and the holidays are coming up.

But it’s hard to sleep easy when the sinister schemes cooked up by the Biden-Harris administration are coming to light.

A recent report confirmed by The Daily Wire found that FEMA workers were explicitly told to skip over houses that had Trump signage in Florida after the devastation of Hurricane Milton. The federal government was already taking heat for their sluggish response to Hurricane Helene, so this only adds fuel to the fire.

Far beyond an isolated instance, it looks like this was decided by higher ranking officials than previously thought and applied in more than just Florida.

Marn’i Washington, a former FEMA supervisor, claimed Tuesday that her firing over allegedly refusing disaster relief to Trump supporters was not a “one-off” situation.

Washington, who was a disaster survivor assistance crew leader for Highland County, reportedly instructed her team to “bypass homes displaying Trump signs” while assessing hurricane relief eligibility in Lake Placid, Florida. After being terminated, Washington told journalist Roland Martin that FEMA’s alleged treatment of Trump supporters is part of a “widespread issue” that has also surfaced in both North and South Carolina following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

“They accused me of acting independently and advancing my own agenda,” Washington said. “But if you look at the overall patterns, there’s what we call a community trend. The political bias my team encountered—it just so happened that these homes had Trump signs. FEMA’s approach is typically to avoid first, then de-escalate. This is not an isolated incident. This is a widespread avoidance issue, not only in Florida but also in the Carolinas.”

Washington continued, “Senior officials will deny knowledge, but if you ask the [disaster survivor assistance] team leads and specialists about their field experiences, they’ll confirm the need for FEMA to produce those incident reports.”

According to a report from The Daily Wire, Washington’s directive prevented around 20 homes with Trump signs or flags from receiving hurricane aid between late October and November. These instructions, along with general health and safety guidance, were reportedly listed as “best practices” for her team.

The former FEMA supervisor claimed her team had encountered “verbal abuse” from residents displaying Trump signage, which led to the directive to avoid these properties. Washington alleged that this decision was reinforced by her superior, Chad Hershey, who supposedly advised them to avoid homes perceived as potentially unsafe.

“We would approach homes without the Trump signage, and if any residents from flagged homes came out and requested help, we were happy to assist them,” Washington said. “But we weren’t going to subject our team to repeated verbal abuse or hostile encounters.”

While Washington confirmed that FEMA teams sometimes encountered hostility from homes with Harris-Walz signs or no campaign markers, she noted that her specific trip focused on incidents involving Trump supporters.

Screenshots obtained by The Daily Wire allegedly show FEMA workers logging skipped homes with notes such as “Trump sign, no entry per leadership,” “Trump sign,” “Per leadership, no stop, Trump flag,” and “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.”

Washington reportedly issued these instructions in Florida’s Highland County, where Trump received nearly 70% of the vote.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which struck in September and October, caused widespread power outages and inflicted nearly $50 billion in damages across the region, as confirmed by President Joe Biden in an Oct. 11 statement.

In response, Hershey told The Daily Wire that FEMA was “aware” of the situation and is “taking swift corrective measures.”

What do you think of FEMA’s response – or lack thereof – to houses displaying Trump signs? Should an investigation take place in order to determine the scope of this issue? Let us know in the comments below.

Absolutely an investigation should take place and whoever initiated this policy should by fired and possibly prosecuted. The lack of help because of this discrimination could have resulted in people or being homeless or be without food or water or God forbid dying.

A congressional investigation and a lawsuit against FEMA by Florida citizens should be followed through on. Also checks and balances implemented so that this never happens again.
