Most Americans still have no stomach for communism, communist ideas, or anything that smells like it like adjacent “socialist” ideas being championed by the modern Democrat Party. In fact, some campaign experts have suggested that Democrats severely miscalculated the 2024 election when they decided to double down on supporting price controls, which reeks of communism to its core.

You would think in the wake of such a terrible election cycle for the Democrats, they would be seeking to reform their image as soon as possible. That would mean distancing themselves from these communist and socialist policies that have left Americans with a bad taste in their mouths when it comes to the Democrat Party as a whole. You would think, but apparently you would be wrong.

If anything, President Joe Biden is just making matters for the Democrats even worse, proving that the modern team blue party truly is just a bunch of communist-sympathizers and anti-capitalism radicals who hate the history of American exceptionalism and free market meritocracy. Joe Biden is giving known communists in Cuba a break as part of a deal with the Catholic Church.

President Biden Removes Communist Cuba From Terrorist List, Millions Left In Shock

President Biden sent notice to Congress that he would be removing the U.S. designation of Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism. Cuba was originally listed as a state sponsor of terrorism in the year 1982 under the direction of Ronald Reagan, who is beloved by millions of Americans for his decisive victory over communism’s biggest mascot in Soviet Russia. The destination stayed all the way until 2015.

In 2015, Barack Obama controversially removed Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. He was accused of playing cute with diplomacy and forgetting all the horrible crimes against humanity that the Cuban regime continues to commit to this day. The Cuban regime has not reformed in the slightest bit. Barack Obama and the Democrats were just growing a soft spot for these communist radicals in Cuba.

Donald Trump would eventually re-list Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism, but once again Joe Biden is undoing it. His allies are saying it is the “best way” to help the Cuban people, as a sort of “human rights” olive branch extension from the U.S. to the Cuban regime. Again, this is the Cuban government that sticks to its guns in harshly treating its citizens and insisting on full-blown communism.

“In taking these steps to bolster the ongoing dialogue between the government of Cuba and the Catholic Church, President Biden is also honoring the wisdom and counsel that has been provided to him by many world leaders, especially in Latin America, who have encouraged him to take these actions, on how best to advance the human rights of the Cuban people,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had to share with reporters in an official statement released after Congress was notified.

As mentioned, this is a deal that involves the Roman Catholic Church in Italy. The Cuban regime has said that they will be releasing north of 550 people who were convicted of crimes in the state of Cuba, though they will only be gradually released. The Vatican reportedly brokered this deal between the U.S. and Cuba as a “human rights” achievement. The Cuban authorities continue to lament the sanctions being put on the Cuban government by the U.S. and its allies.

In a statement after the announcement, the Cuban communists said that the U.S. was engaging in “economic warfare” against them, which is what is causing their economic strife, in their opinion. Of course, they forget to mention any of their radical and dangerous communist ideas as a potential reason why they are hurting so many of their own citizens. Communists love to deflect.

Now, Joe Biden and his Democrats want to give Cuba a friendly handshake even though no good behavior or reform from Cuba has actually warranted a lifting of sanctions. This move, though, is being lamented by legislators and government officials on both sides of the aisle. Democrats believe this only serves to make their black eye after the elections even worse, because Americans still don’t like communism at all (as they should well know by now).

One Democrat went so far as to say that Joe Biden is single-handedly “sinking” the Democrat Party with these outrageous decisions. “This is Joe Biden literally sinking the Democratic Party in the state of Florida. Big time,” Jared Moskowitz (Democrat) of Florida had to say on the matter. “Just as we try to patch the hole in the boat, Biden punches another hole in it. Florida is a red state, and Biden just waved the white flag of surrender,” he added. As Moskowtiz notes, Democrats can pretty much kiss any political success in the state of Florida in the future good-bye.

Donald Trump’s incoming national security advisor Mike Waltz has already mentioned the possibility of the designation being put back on the Cuban regime during Donald Trump’s second term. “Look. anything that they’re doing right now we can do back, and no one should be under any illusion in terms of a change in Cuba policy,” Waltz had to say.

Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, harshly criticized Joe Biden and his administration, saying that they are trying to damage their own brand as much as possible on their way out. He said that Cuba is one of the “most repressive” governments in the entire world and should therefore stay on the list until that changes. “The Biden Administration continues on its quest to leave as much wreckage behind on its way out the door as possible. Cuba should not be removed from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. The communist dictatorship in Cuba is one of the most repressive regimes in the world and has supported anti-American governments and groups around the world for decades,” DeSantis had to say. “Cuba should remain on the state sponsors of terrorism list, and Florida stands against the tyrannical regime in Havana,” the popular Governor had to add.

Once again, the Democrats have BETRAYED the Cubans!
