Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced earlier this week that he’d be having a campaign event in Phoenix, Arizona. The speculation immediately started going wild, with some insiders suggesting that he was going to be suspending his campaign, no longer seeing a path to victory for his third-party ticket alongside his running mate Nicole Shanahan.

Now it’s official. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be dropping out of the race and has even gone so far as endorsing Donald Trump for President in the election this November. This development flies in the face of the now debunked reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was “courting” the Democrat Party to endorse Harris instead. In fact, the RFK campaign has said in recent days that they are specifically trying to avoid a Harris-Walz administration. That’s what seemingly drove this decision to drop out and pave the way for Donald Trump.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. originally started out his campaign as a Democrat trying to dethrone Joe Biden as the de facto nominee for the blue team. That immediately started going sideways and he learned the hardway that the Democrats never intended to play ball in a free and fair election.

The Kennedy heir officially launched his campaign back in April of 2023 when he filed to run as a Democrat seeking the Party’s nomination. Later that year, when he learned that the Democrats were not going to have Joe Biden appear on a debate stage with anyone. They would do everything in their power to stiff arm any real competition. At the time Mr. Kennedy was also polling extremely well.

That October, he announced that he’d be running as an independent. He became one of the most formidable third-party candidates, though. As Joe Biden’s blatant incompetence came into view at the start of 2024, RFK’s polling numbers were through the roof. It was conceivable that he could win Michigan as some surveys were showing him carrying upwards of 20-30% of the votes there.

The Democrats, though, have been waging a real war against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. They have gone out of their way to keep him busy with lawfare so he has no shot of throwing any wrench into the 2024 election. The Kennedy campaign officials have been lamenting that the Democrat Party isn’t playing fair and is playing by anti-Democratic rules to keep their elites in power.

The Impact Of RFK’s Decision To Drop Out

His decision to drop out of the race has profound consequences for the rest of this Presidential election cycle. Now, another big household name like “Kennedy” is behind the Trump campaign to beat Kamala Harris and the Democrat machine that has most clearly engaged in the most undemocratic behavior Americans have seen in decades. It could very well be the minor support bump that pushes Donald Trump over the mountain to win later this year.

These are simple facts you can’t get around. The Democrats lied about Joe Biden continuing his campaign after his disasterous debate performance, seemingly to get their ducks in a row for him to bow out. They intentionally avoided any potentially messy open primary system of picking a new candidate so that they could immediately anoint Kamala Harris as the queen of the Democrat Party and keep all the money raised for Joe Biden. They also continue to keep Kamala Harris away from any real press interviews and are not discussing policy in any substantial way.

Add that on top of what the Kennedy campaign faced in terms of lawfare from the Democrat Party, and it makes a ton of sense when RFK Jr. says that this Democrat Party is not one that his uncle President John F. Kennedy or his father Robert Kennedy would recognize today.

We’ve seen concerned former Democrats announce their departure from the blue team before. U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema, former U.S. House Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and many more. However, a household name like Kennedy, who at one point was polling very well in this Presidential race, announcing that the Democrat Party has gone off the deepend, that’s an entirely different thing.

That has the potential to make waves for years to come as the Democrat Party is doing its best to try and keep the bottom from falling out because of its own radicalism. There’s a consequence to being pulled so far-Left that no one can stomach it and stiff arming anyone who dares to question that new Leftist status quo. The consequence is that eventually you realize all you’re left with is a small group of the most radical supporters and the much quieter majority has all jumped ship a long time ago.
