It’s safe to say that Democrats aren’t taking their election defeats very well. Ever since Donald Trump won the presidential election over two weeks ago, they’ve been finding ways to cope with the fact that he will be serving another four years in the White House.

A normal process after losing an election is to look over the data and see where things went wrong. And while some Democrats are doing that, others are either blaming voters for their defeats or are lashing out at Republicans and their agenda.

One of the Democrats who’s doing the latter is Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin. She once was a conservative that criticized Barack Obama and his administration, but has since supported Joe Biden and abandoned her conservative beliefs. That led to her producing one of the most insane post-election rants you’ll ever see.

Rubin Bashed For Unhinged Rant About GOP

While going on a tirade about Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks, Jennifer Rubin claimed that Republicans “want to k*ll your kids.” She made the comments while recording an episode of her Jen Rubin’s Green Room podcast.

“You have to boil it down to nuts and bolts and you have to be pithy. What do I mean by pithy? How about this: Republicans want to k*ll your kids. It’s actually true,” Rubin wildly stated.

“If you’re going to oppose vaccinations, if you’re going to stop breakthrough medical research, if you’re going to allow minors and all sorts of people to get semiautomatic weapons – which they use to shoot up schools – well then, you are responsible for kids’ health and death.” Rubin’s rant was a failed attempt to give advice to the Left on how to be better messengers when discussing their agenda.

But saying things like the Republican Party wants to “k*ll your kids” likely won’t help improve your messaging tactics. If anything, that will only turn voters off from your cause.

And we’ve seen this before as well. Most recently, Democrats claimed that Donald Trump and his supporters were Nazis. Hyperbolic rhetoric like that only proved that the Left wasn’t actually serious about the claims they were making. Not only that, but voters who were sitting on the fence were turned off by those statements.

As for Rubin and her initial rant, she was predictably thrashed on social media for it, especially by conservatives. “She should be fired over this if there’s any sanity left in the world,” Robby Starbuck a conservative activist said in a post on X. “In my opinion … this Jennifer Rubin woman sounds like a deranged nut case,” another X user posted.

“Jennifer Rubin is a prime example of what is wrong with MSM,” someone else said, referring to the mainstream media by using the acronym “MSM.” This comment especially rings true as the media is having a hard time talking about Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. Many media hosts are melting down during on-air segments. Some, like Sunny Hostin of ABC’s The View are claiming that voters are racist and misogynist, and that’s why Donald Trump was able to defeat Harris on Election Day.

But so far, no one has matched the insanity of Jennifer Rubin and her disturbing claim that Republicans want the absolute worst to happen to children in this country. If Democrats are serious about winning key elections in 2026 and 2028, maybe they’ll look to tone down this sort of rhetoric.
