Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts has once again shown the Democratic Party’s preferred tactic of smearing half the country as enemies of the republic.

While helping campaign for Senator Ed Markey, the Democrat from Massachusetts, Pressley declared that MAGA is nothing more than a modern version of the Confederacy.

She told the crowd: “It is bigger than Trump. Because whenever we do the work of ousting the occupant of the Oval Office, the Confederacy is still alive and well. That’s all MAGA is.”

Pressley did not stop there. She added:

“White supremacy is still alive and well. Anti-blackness will still be alive and well.”

This is the language of a party that has abandoned persuasion and chosen permanent moral condemnation instead.

Millions of working Americans who support secure borders, fair trade, and an end to endless foreign wars are now casually labeled inheritors of the slaveholding South.

The comparison is not only historically illiterate. It is deliberate political poison.

MAGA voters include Black truck drivers, Hispanic small business owners, and union families who rejected the open-borders agenda and the cultural radicalism of the last administration.

To reduce their concerns to “anti-blackness” is an insult to their intelligence and a confession that Pressley has no policy answers left.

For years the same voices insisted that opposing mass illegal immigration or questioning critical race theory in schools made one a threat to democracy.

Now they have escalated the charge: supporting Trump equals loyalty to the Confederacy.

The goal is clear—to place ordinary patriotic Americans beyond the bounds of legitimate debate.
