Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced on Tuesday that she has directed her office to revoke the security clearances of 37 former and current intelligence officials tied to the infamous Russiagate scandal. This decision targets deep state insiders who allegedly weaponized their positions to push baseless smears against President Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign and beyond.
Gabbard, acting on a direct request from President Trump, emphasized that these officials abused public trust by politicizing intelligence, leaking classified information, and violating departmental standards. “Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right,” Gabbard said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. In doing so, they undermine our national security, the safety and security of the American people and the foundational principles of our democratic republic.”
Among those affected is a former top aide to Barack Obama’s DNI James Clapper, a key figure in the Russiagate saga who has long been accused of misleading the public. Recent reporting has exposed how high-ranking Obama administration officials schemed to damage Trump’s presidential bid by promoting false conspiracies that benefited Hillary Clinton.

These revelations build on years of evidence showing Russiagate as a manufactured crisis designed to hobble a duly elected president. The Russiagate scandal erupted in 2016 when allegations surfaced that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election, but investigations later revealed it was rooted in opposition research funded by the Clinton campaign.
The so-called Steele Dossier, a collection of unverified claims compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, served as the shaky foundation for FBI surveillance warrants against Trump associates like Carter Page.
Deep state actors within the FBI and CIA, including then-Director James Comey and CIA chief John Brennan, pushed this dossier despite knowing its origins and lack of credibility, leading to illegal spying on American citizens.
Trump faced relentless attacks as leaks from these officials flooded the media, creating a frenzy that portrayed him as a Russian puppet and distracted from real issues facing everyday Americans.
The Mueller probe, launched in 2017, dragged on for two years, costing taxpayers millions, only to conclude there was no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia. Yet, the damage was done as Trump’s presidency was bogged down by endless hearings, impeachments, and smears, all orchestrated by unelected bureaucrats loyal to the Obama-Clinton machine.
Gabbard highlighted that her action restores integrity to the intelligence community, which must prioritize constitutional values over partisan games. “Our Intelligence Community must be committed to upholding the values and principles enshrined in the US Constitution and maintain a laser-like focus on our mission of ensuring the safety, security and freedom of the American people,” Gabbard said.
Americans have been waiting for years for real consequences, and while these don’t meet expectations Americans have had for those who tried to delegitimize Donald Trump’s presidency, it’s a welcome development.
There are still rumblings of criminal consequences on the horizon for Obama administration officials, though those have yet to materialize. At the very least, though, those involved in the manifold hoaxes to delegitimize Donald Trump’s admin must be nervous about what the second Trump admin is uncovering every single day.

There needs to be examples set, it was a show of treason so dig out the original law on treason and do away with a few of these high and mighty Demorates and probably won’t ever happen again
It’s about time that evidence of those who tried to ruin President Trump with false accusations is brought forth to the light of day for all to see. Hopefully legal action will be taken against even the highest of these unelected and elected officials!
