If the Democrat Party that was ever a Party trying to defend the poor and the vulnerable, they simply aren’t that same party anymore. Today, they seemingly only care about far-Left culture wars, leaving many of those who were once die-hard Democrats left wondering if the Party has gone too far and “left” them in the dust.
Here’s a prime recent example. As we’ve noted here on Silent Majority Report, the Supreme Court recently ruled that local authorities have the jurisdiction to draft up new policies to address their local issues with increasing or worsening homelessness. That’s reasonable, sure. The problem is that it can open the door to local officials coming up with insane new policies to target homeless and vulnerable Americans.
That’s exactly what’s happening in the aftermath of that Supreme Court ruling. San Francisco’s Democrat Mayor has announced a brand new policy that is designed to kick homeless individuals out of the city with “relocation services” such as tickets for busses outside of the city and even air travel assistance. Tragically, they’ll be “offered” these “options” before being given any other local food and shelter assistance. How that makes sense isn’t something I’m going to try and wrap my head around.
“While we will always lead with compassion and we have made significant expansions in housing and shelter, we cannot solve everyone’s individual housing and behavioral health needs,” San Francisco Mayor London Breed said about the new policy. “We’ve made significant progress in housing many long-time San Franciscans who became homeless, but we are seeing an increase in people in our data who are coming from elsewhere. Today’s order will ensure that all our city departments are leveraging our relocation programs to address this growing trend,” he added.
Effectively their “final solution”, if you will, is to just get rid of the problem entirely and make the homeless issue they’ve fostered someone else’s problem in another town or city. How “kind” of these Democrat local authorities, right?
It is true that San Francisco has an issue that they have to do something about. Reports are that an increasing proportion of the homeless individuals in San Francisco actually came from outside the city and are not necessarily registered citizens of the city. Locals in the area are constantly lamenting the issue that has seemed to spiral out of control.

The truth of the matter is that the Democrats are the ones responsible for this trend in San Francisco, and in many other major cities in America like Chicago and New York City. The budgets of these Democrat-controlled cities are utterly massive, and they continue to get bigger and bigger with more taxes being passed seemingly every other month.
San Francisco’s budget, for example, has swelled to nearly fifteen billion dollars. That’s more than twice as much the budget in 2010 when the budget was a meager $6.5 billion. Meanwhile, the number of homeless individuals in San Francisco has increased by 20% since 2010. The overall population in San Francisco has been steady since 2010, however.
The reality is that when Democrats make promises they don’t ever intend to keep like expanding shelter services to be enough to house every single homeless individual who reaches the city’s doorsteps, of course there will be more outside individuals trying to reach the cities doorstep in hopes to receive these benefits that, again, were never real to begin with.
Democrats will come up with the most insane ideas that are far too expensive for the taxpayers to afford, cause a crisis, and then come up with a fascist response because of the mess they’ve created. What a disgrace.
Maybe instead of wasting taxpayer dollars on government-sponsored drag queen story time events and paying $20,000 per trash can (yes that’s real – looking at you, San Francisco), you could afford to help the homeless in your city. Maybe not solve the issue, but help prevent it from getting worse.

Sending the homeless back home makes some sense, but warn their new destination who they are and why they are coming so the authorities can meet them on arrival…
