NATO ally sounds the alarm about an imminent attack

America’s enemies are always working behind the scenes. But this is coming quicker than you think.

Now a NATO ally sounded the alarm about an imminent attack.

Poland is bracing for the possibility of direct conflict with Russia.

Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk told Super Express in an interview published Sunday that his country is preparing in earnest. “We are preparing for war, hoping that it never happens,” he said.

A Pattern Of Provocation Along NATO’s Eastern Flank

A European diplomat explained to Fox News Digital that Poland sees a clear pattern in concerning Russian behavior. “We are hurrying to be prepared for war since Russia is giving us and our neighbors constant signals that they want us back as their vassals, their colonial backyard,” the diplomat said, adding that if Moscow or Minsk saw an opening to move against Poland, “they would do it without hesitation.”

Retired Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, told Fox News Digital the concern is shared widely among former military leaders. “They’re trying to test the alliance: Is Italy going to go to war? Is Spain going to go to war? There are several places where Russia could try to snatch something. Their goal is to divide and ultimately break up the alliance,” he said, warning Moscow may attempt “a provocation that is just enough to raise the question of a NATO response.”

Moscow Turns Up The Rhetoric Against Britain

Tensions boiled over separately this week after Russia’s embassy in Britain threatened unspecified “consequences” following reports that British-made drones were used by Ukraine for long-range strikes inside Russian territory. “London’s actions will inevitably carry consequences for which it will have to answer,” the embassy said, while Britain’s defense ministry responded that the U.K. stands “shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov went further, suggesting Moscow could treat direct British involvement in strikes on Russian soil as active participation in the war.

The rhetoric turned openly menacing on Russian state television, where host Vladimir Solovyov said: “Give the British three days to learn to breathe underwater, then hit them with Poseidon.” Moscow claims to have successfully tested the weapon in October 2025.

A Deterrence Gap The West Isn’t Ready To Close

Breedlove described the barrage of threats as part of a deliberate Russian information campaign aimed at forcing NATO capitulation. While he expressed confidence NATO could hold its own in conflict, he has some worries: “What NATO is not ready for — and what the U.S. is not ready for — is the new kind of drone warfare that Russia is waging against Ukraine. Our air defense capabilities in the West are not even close to what is needed.”
