Donald Trump Nominates Big Union Brass For Secretary of Labor

One of the pitfalls of the Trump movement has been that it is a deeply pro-American people movement in so many ways. The reality is that most Americans are sick and tired of being fed lies by the establishment about how immigration can’t be fixed, nothing can be done about inflation, and how more taxpayer dollars have to be sent overseas for proxy wars.

Donald Trump has given a voice on all of these issues to everyday Americans who see these issues differently than the political establishment who would rather stick their heads in the sand. The downside to this is every once in a while, Donald Trump will make a decision that’s simply not sound because it might be somewhat popular. Populism has its pros, but it certainly has its cons.

Recently, Donald Trump announced that he would be nominating Lori Chavez-DeRemer to be the Secretary of Labor for his second administration. Lori is a deeply pro-union and pro-Big Labor individual, and his pick is sounding alarm bells all throughout the Republican Party and the conservative movement.

Unions have long been abused by the Left and the Democrats to take money from honest workers in the way of forced union dues, only to funnel it into pro-Democrat organizations and campaigns for election. This has been going on for decades and is why the National Right to Work Committee became a household name in the 1970s for those involved in Washington, D.C. politics. The NRTW has worked all over the nation to pass Right to Work laws that are supposed to actually promote worker freedom by not tying down workers to Big Unions who are actually going to exploit their workers.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer is a pick that is specifically anti-Right to Work, signaling a huge battle coming on the horizon for the Republicans. The late 2000s and early 2010s Tea Party movement led by the likes of Ron Paul is what paved the way for a Donald Trump-type candidate to be able to win in 2016. That movement had its teeth cut in the Right to Work movement that has been around for decades.

Donald Trump picking Lori Chavez-DeRemer is actually throwing out the baby with the bath water. She’s a pick that is in favor of Joe Biden and the Democrats’ “Pro Act”, which is actually designed to give more power to Big Unions to control workers rather than workers being able to negotiate on their own. Fundamentally, the pro-union Left is not in favor of workers being able to make decisions on their own.

The Lori Chavez-DeRemer pick aligns the second Trump administration with this pro-Big Union movement that is actually going to make the Democrats stronger and stronger, as they abuse forced union dues to sap money away from the workers and funnel it into dark political money channels. One Fox News report found that upwards of $530 million from forced union dues had been spent on Leftist Democrat elections and organizations.

The National Right to Work Committee wrote in a statement that Lori may claim to be “pro-worker” but she is nothing of the sort. She wants to make it more difficult for workers to reject unionization, they claim.

“The supposedly ‘pro-worker’ legislation that Chavez-DeRemer signed onto is designed to give union officials more authority over non-consenting workers. That means giving them the right to take workers’ money without their permission by repealing Right to Work laws,” the National Right to Work Committee has shared in a statement after the announcement of Lori’s nomination.

The PRO Act advances nothing but union bosses’ own financial and power-seeking interests. Chavez-DeRemer supported these power grabs, believing this was the path to being perceived as “pro-worker.” Instead, voters removed her from office,” the NRTW added in their official statement.

Conservatives and libertarians have been sounding the alarm bells about the Secretary of Labor pick from Donald Trump, noting how this is the exact opposite of what they’d want from a pro-constitution, small government President which Donald Trump claims to be.

What do you think about the Secretary of Labor pick from Donald Trump? Is pro-union the way to go for the Republican party moving forward? Do you think most people want to work for a union? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

If President Trump trust this person, he deserves the chance to prove his choice. He hasn’t failed us yet. If it doesn’t work out he can switch to someone else.
