Joe Biden Tries To Steal Donald Trump’s Achievement Of Israel-Hamas Deal

Since the October 7th, 2023 tragedy in Israel which saw dozens of Israelis and Americans lose their lives to cowardly Hamas terrorists who attacked an innocent music festival and civilian area, the Biden administration had been claiming that they would be reaching a deal with Israel to bring peace to the region sooner rather than later. Ultimately, that’s what everyone wants, but the Hamas terrorists have to pay and both sides of the equation have to engage in good faith deal-making. Apparently the Biden administration was useless on this front.

Instead, the war between Israel and Hamas raged on for nearly a year and a half, and Americans watched on in horror as the Middle East’s relations deteriorated faster than at any point since the George Bush administration. All the work that Donald Trump had put in during his first term was largely out the window, of which includes the groundbreaking Doha agreement and the Abraham accords. Let alone a close war that was raging over in Eastern Europe that Joe Biden was also powerless to calm down.

Donald Trump made it abundantly clear that his mission would be to end the conflict between Hamas and Israel as soon as possible. He even went so far as to say he would have a deal made before he stepped into office. It would be understandable if you didn’t believe that because that’s a huge ask for someone who’s not even in office yet to accomplish. The war did not show any signs of slowing down and any previous agreements between Israel and Hamas were rejected by one party or another. The outlook of ending the conflict was not looking good, no doubt.

Which is what makes Donald Trump’s latest accomplishment such a big deal. He sent his foreign policy allies to the Middle East and they’ve come back with a tentative deal that is reportedly all but inked down. Just weeks after Donald Trump put his men on the case, the deal was reached. That timing is hard to ignore. Also worthy of note is that Donald Trump was being impatient with Israel and Hamas. He wanted them to get this deal done before he was inaugurated just like he had promised on the campaign trail.

Joe Biden, on the other hand, wants everyone to think that the deal was really just him all along and that Donald Trump had nothing to do with it. When asked about the deal and the timing of the deal arriving just prior to Donald Trump’s inauguration, Joe Biden scoffed at the idea that Trump had any part to play. Instead, he made it sound like it was a year-plus long effort from his administration that ultimately led to the deal being made right now. The timing of Trump’s inauguration being around the corner is just a “coincidence” to Joe Biden and his allies.

“It is the result not only of the extreme pressure that Hamas has been under and the changed regional equation after a ceasefire in Lebanon and weakening of Iran — but also of dogged and painstaking American diplomacy,” President Biden said in an official statement after the news of the deal broke.

It’s understandable that Joe Biden would want credit here. It’s one of the crowning foreign policy achievements for whoever is responsible and involved on the United States side. The deal brokers of the deal will be met with goodwill from the American people who have been horrified by this war seemingly carrying on forever with no end in sight.

The problem for Joe Biden is that the timeline of events don’t bode well for him taking any credit whats-over. Since October 7th, there’s been no real movement in the way of a deal being made. All the American public has heard from the Biden team is that there would be one “soon.” That was all the way back in Spring of 2023, though, when they were saying it would come “soon.” Clearly their idea of soon and everyone else’s idea of soon are two very different things.

Donald Trump on the campaign trail said he wanted a deal done before he was inaugurated and said he would not accept anything less. Then, after becoming the President-elect, he ramped up pressure on Hamas saying that there would be “h*ll” to pay for any hostages not released before his inauguration. While Trump’s transition was going on, he sent his foreign policy envoy to Israel to work on the deal and get it done as soon as possible. Then, just days later, the news broke that the tentative peace-deal was reached and hostages would be let free.

That’s the timeline of events. Those are the facts. That doesn’t seem to indicate that Joe Biden really had a significant hand in this matter at all. It’s despicable of him to try and take credit for this deal too, which really mars the character of Joe Biden in the eyes of anyone who may have had any respect for him after the last tumultuous four years in the White House. That may be the most despicable, dishonorable thing Joe Biden has done in his administration.

Even a Joe Biden administration State Department official, Matthew Miller, shared with reporters that Donald Trump is absolutely responsible for at least some of the deal being made. He said that the Trump team was “critical” in getting the deal made once and for all. “The involvement of President-elect Trump’s team has been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line,” Miller shared with reporters.

So Joe Biden will be ending his tenure with a completely different public persona than when he first “won” (double wink) the Presidency in 2020. At the time, he was perceived to just be an average guy. A moderate that most Americans could get behind. He was just “Union Joe” after all. That good, old school Democrat who wasn’t one of the crazy ones of the modern era. Well all that was a lie. The American public can see him for his true colors after he’s pardoned his own son for crimes he’s guilty of and even tried to take credit for a major achievement of Donald Trump’s. What a horrible way to go out.
